‘Love Island USA’ Season 8 Is Officially Happening — Here’s What Fans Can Expect

The villa is officially reopening. Peacock has renewed the hit reality dating series “Love Island USA” for season 8, with the new installment set to premiere June 2, 2026, continuing the show’s summer tradition of romance, drama and unexpected twists.

The renewal comes after a massive season 7 run that turned the series into one of Peacock’s biggest streaming hits. According to Deadline, the most recent season became the show’s most-watched original season ever, generating more than 18 billion minutes viewed. The finale week also marked another milestone, with the series ranking as the No. 1 streaming original in the United States and remaining the top streaming reality title for six consecutive weeks, per Nielsen.

Host Ariana Madix will return to guide viewers through the new season, while the show will once again be filmed in Fiji, the tropical setting that has become synonymous with the franchise.

What Happened During the Season 7 Finale

Season 7 wrapped on July 13, 2025, after weeks of recouplings, eliminations and emotional villa moments. The finale revealed Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales as the winning couple, earning the most votes from viewers and securing the show’s $100,000 prize.

The final four couples heading into the finale included Amaya and Bryan, Olandria and Nic, Iris and Pepe, and Huda and Chris. Each pair went on a final date before the results were announced. Nic and Olandria walked along the beach while reading supportive fan messages, while Iris and Pepe enjoyed a boat ride. Amaya and Bryan’s final date included a romantic evening and a look back at childhood photos.

Chris and Huda’s final date took a surprising turn when the couple ended their relationship during their candlelit dinner on the water.

After the winning couple was revealed, Amaya celebrated around the villa and shared how much the moment meant to her. “I feel like I’m flying in the sky right now,” she said, per The Hollywood Reporter. “I just feel so seen and validated, and for people to see how powerful our connection is.”

Bryan ultimately drew the envelope containing the $100,000 prize and chose to split the money with Amaya, confirming their commitment.

The ‘Love Island’ Universe Is Expanding

The franchise is continuing to grow beyond the main series. A new spinoff docuseries titled “Love Island: Beyond the Villa” will premiere April 15, 2026, following season 7 winners Amaya and Bryan as they adjust to life after the show alongside several other Islanders.

Both the original series and its spinoff are produced by ITV America. Per Deadline, ITV America CEO David George believes the franchise has evolved into something bigger than a typical reality show.

“Love Island acts a lot more like a sport than it does a television show,” George said.

He also revealed that the brand could expand even further in the future, adding, “Why are we not taking Love Island and figuring out how we’re going to translate that into the movie world?”
