“Star Wars” legend Andy Serkis stepped out on the red carpet on Tuesday, Jan. 13, at the BFI IMAX Waterloo in London, England, for the world premiere of “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.”
While Serkis wasn’t there to celebrate his success, he was, however, in attendance to support his youngest son, Louis Ashbourne Serkis, 21, who stars in the film as Tom, a survivor in a post-apocalyptic world.
Andy and his son were joined by Lorraine Ashbourne, the Serkis patriarch’s wife of 23 years. As photographers snapped their photos of the family, Louis stood in the middle of his parents with his arms around their shoulders. The young actor wore matching maroon pants and a jacket with a casual black T-shirt underneath.
Andy Serkis Is a Film Legend

Andy wore a chic dark blue jacket with a maroon scarf to match Louis’ ensemble. He paired his top with a pair of black slacks. “Bridgerton” star Lorraine looked gorgeous in a checkered black and yellow jacket with a lacy black dress.
This isn’t Louis’ first role in film, either, as he has acted in several other works, including “The Queen’s Gambit,” “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” “Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle” and plenty more. His biggest role yet was the lead in the fantasy adventure “The Kid Who Would Be King.”
Louis Serkis Shares How He Started Acting
GettyIn a 2025 interview with Mirror, Louis opened up about how his famous parents didn’t force him into acting. While it was something he grew to love, the rising star admitted he could not remember when he first realized that showbiz was his calling.
“I was never obliged to take part in what they do, and they never forced it on me and said, ‘This is what you’re going to do.’ But I love it,” Louis shared at the time. “I have always loved entertaining and bringing joy through that. I think if you get the opportunity to tell a story and to inspire people, I think you should take it.”
“I don’t think there was one moment where I thought, ‘This is it.’ I think it was an accumulation,” he added. “I think being exposed to it but also loving it, just loving films — I love storytelling.”
