Former “The Bachelorette” lead Rachel Recchia just celebrated her 30th birthday, taking to TikTok to share how she continues to honor a tradition she’s been doing every year.
In fact, the reality TV star also reflected on life and growth, honestly admitting that though she’s not yet at the point in her career where she feels fully satisfied, she is still “excited for everything that is to come.”

GettyIn a TikTok shared on Feb. 28, “The Bachelorette” lead Rachel Recchia filmed herself getting ready for a night out ahead of her 30th birthday. Although her birthday was still a week away, Recchia revealed that she marks the occasion each year by taking herself out on a solo date, a tradition she’s done for years.
“Every year for my birthday, I take myself and do something alone. Tonight I’m getting ready by myself to go see ‘Six’ [the musical], so I’m very excited about this,” she began.
Recchia also surprisingly shared that she cries when her birthday comes around. “It’s not my birthday, it’s next week. Every year on my birthday I just cry. I look at my life and what I’ve accomplished.”
The former “Bachelorette” star explained why she cries, candidly sharing, “I spent almost all of my 20s in flight school, hustling, and waiting to leave my college town. Waiting to start my career and graduate and to be a flight instructor. And I accomplished it. But the fact that I’m still not where I want to be in my career, it just makes me feel, so candidly, like a failure.”
Recchia added that she believed she would have certain things accomplished by this time, but looked at the future with positivity.
“I am so excited for everything that is to come. I know I can still have everything that I want,” she told her followers. The TikTok ended with her at the musical, where she sat in an aisle seat waiting for the show to start.

In fact, many followers shared that they had similar feelings as they turned the big 3-0. “Also turning 30 this year and feeling behind, but we got this! 30s will be our decade!” A comment read.
Recchia’s last reality TV appearance was on Netflix’s “Perfect Match” season 3. The season shockingly brought her “The Bachelor” ex, Clayton Echard, into the mix, and the two reconnected. However, their match lasted a mere 24 hours after Echard believed his “intuition” told him it wasn’t the right thing to do, per People.
