In just 10 days, a new season of “The Bachelorette” will be finally upon us. With “The Secret Wives of Mormon Wives” star Taylor Frankie Paul in the lead, the season will be unlike any other, and Paul herself is teasing some moments to come.
In a new interview with Us Weekly, the reality star opened up about her season, including her mindset going in, and some impressions of her 22 contestants.

GettyCompared to all the bachelorettes of the past, Paul certainly stands out. Not only has she been married before (Paul was married to ex-husband Tate Paul from 2016 to 2022), but she’s also a proud mom to three kids.
Plus, with her experience with reality TV behind her, she wasn’t afraid to break some rules. “Usually there’s structure to it, [but] we had no rules,” Paul said of her season. “It was fun. Unexpected, on my end and their end. It was very unpredictable.”
Also in the interview, Paul revealed that fans will be seeing a new side of herself on the show.
“On Secret Lives, you get my chaotic, reactive, petty side, so there’s this persona of me,” she explained. “I think when people meet me, they’re usually like, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re a lot nicer than I thought you would be.'”
“I’m a very chill, relaxed person if you’re hanging out with me,” she said. “You’ll see a lot more of that side of me. I am a lover girl through and through.”
In fact, fans might be surprised to hear she’s actually shier than it may seem. “I definitely struggle with PDA,” she admitted. “It’s very nerve-wracking.”
“It’s so funny because I think given what I’m known for — let’s just be honest, a sex scandal — you would think I’m a little bit more wild,” she said, referring to the “soft-swinging scandal” that broke her marriage. “I don’t want to go as far as to say [I’m a] prude, but I am very shy.”

GettyWhen asked how her season of the show ended, Paul kept it vague, but gave same major clues.
“[I felt] lots of different emotions for lots of different reasons,” she said of the finale.
“It ended in a Taylor way,” she teased. “Some people may know what that means, and some people might not.”
Overall, she’s been clear about going into the show for the right reasons, despite her on and off relationship with her ex, Dakota Mortensen. “The goal was to find my person, and I didn’t really have any vision of how it had to go — an engagement, we leave together or we’re trying dating,” she said. “I didn’t set any other expectations.” Here’s hoping that goal was accomplished!
“The Bachelorette” season 22 premieres on ABC Sunday, March 22, at 8 p.m. ET and streams next day on Hulu.
