Taylor Frankie Paul Makes Major Move in Court, Puts Her Kids Above Everything

Taylor Frankie Paul made a major move in court on Tuesday.

The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star appeared remotely at a Utah court hearing Tuesday involving a protective order filed against her by ex Dakota Mortensen. In a significant move, TMZ reports that Taylor also filed her own restraining order against Dakota ahead of the proceedings. She has previously hinted that there is more to her story and today she took a step toward telling it.

The hearing also touched on custody of Taylor and Dakota’s 2-year-old son Ever. A follow-up hearing is scheduled for April 30.

Taylor‘s Sweet Moment With Her Daughter

In the days leading up to court, Taylor gave fans a series of genuinely sweet glimpses into her life away from the headlines.

On April 4 she posted a video to her Instagram showing herself singing in the shower fully clothed while her daughter danced and sang along in front of the bathroom mirror. She captioned it simply: “Just keep swimming… with some singing.”

It is the kind of moment that reminds Bachelor Nation exactly who Taylor is when the cameras are not rolling. A mom. Present. Finding joy in the ordinary.

Taylor Surrounds Herself With Family

The day before, E! News reports that Taylor shared a photo to her Instagram Stories showing herself tucked into a couch between her two older children, whom she shares with ex-husband Tate Paul, alongside her mom Liann May and other relatives during a hotel stay in Utah.

Liann reposted the photo on her own Stories with a simple caption that said everything: “Family time is my favorite time!”

Taylor has been open about leaning on faith and family through this chapter. She also recently shared that she is detaching from the Mormon church while keeping her belief in God firmly intact. Her full story is still unfolding. And based on today’s move in court, she is ready to tell it.
