Bachelor Nation loves a good relationship milestone, especially since so few couples from “The Bachelor” franchise end up making it long term.
“The Bachelor” season 27 star Zach Shallcross found his perfect match with contestant Kaity Biggar, and fans continue to root for them, especially as they tied the knot in May and are now having thoughts of starting a family.

Getty“The Bachelor” couple Kaity Biggar and Zach Shallcross are taking exciting new steps in their relationship. Since tying the knot in May, the pair are now opening up about their plans to start a family in the near future.
Speaking to Us Weekly while attending iHeart Radio Jingle Ball 2025 in Los Angeles, Biggar shared, “We’re so excited to start our family. I think we’re focusing right now on the house. We’re building a home, so it’s gonna be ready in June or July, and then probably around then, we’re gonna start cooking one up.”
Shallcross then excitedly shared, “We’re open about it. We’re excited. Next year.”
In fact, Shallcross gushed about Biggar becoming a mother, telling the outlet, “For Kaity, I know she’ll be a great mom because she does have such attention and care for the people that she loves.”
He continued, “She’s always thinking of others. She thinks of others before herself, and I know that she’ll do that with our future kids.”
Shallcross & Biggar Wed in a Private Ceremony & Later Threw a Big Celebration in November
Shallcross and Biggar met while he was on his journey to find his perfect match on season 27 of “The Bachelor.” In the finale, he chose to propose to Biggar, a registered nurse, in 2023. Two years later, the couple wed in an intimate ceremony in Austin, Texas, on May 23, in front of just seven family members.
According to People, the reality TV couple threw a fun-filled wedding celebration with around 100 of their closest family and friends in downtown Austin in November. The guest list also included a few familiar faces from Bachelor Nation, including couples Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson, Charity Lawson and Dotun Olubeko, and former stars Susie Evans, Kathy Swarts, and Gabriella Elnicki.
Speaking to People about getting hitched, Biggar touchingly shared, “We are both so excited that we get to go through life as best friends and tackle all life’s challenges and wins that get thrown our way.”
She added, “And we cannot wait to have kids in the near future! We are looking at the fall of 2026 to start growing our family.”
