‘Masked Singer’ Season 14 Finale Gets Schedule Shake-Up — Here’s What to Expect Tonight

If you’ve been counting down to the Season 14 finale of “The Masked Singer,” there’s a small (okay, slightly chaotic) twist to your Wednesday night plans. The finale still kicks off tonight (Wednesday, April 1, 2026) at 8:00pm ET on Fox. But if you’re watching live on the East Coast, you’re going to want to brace yourself for an interruption right in the middle of all the unmasking drama.

No, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke. Here’s what is really going on.

Which Masks are Left Heading Into the Finale?

Now to get into the fun part first; because this lineup? It seems like the show is going all out for the finale.

According to a post shared via Instagram (seen above), the final contestants are bringing some serious energy:

  • Cat Witch (a.k.a. “America’s Insider,” already revealed to be Kylie Cantrell) will perform “Greedy” by Tate McRae and “Leave (Get Out)” by JoJo.
  • Galaxy Girl is taking on “Try” by P!nk and “Good 4 U” by Olivia Rodrigo
  • Pugcasso will sing “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper and “Sussudio” by Phil Collins
  • Crane is performing “Together Again” by Janet Jackson and “Impossible” by Shontelle

Let’s be real; this is a stacked song list. From throwbacks to modern pop hits, it feels like the show is pulling out every stop to make the finale feel like an actual event.

Why the Schedule is Changing

And for the curveball. “The Masked Singer” finale will begin airing at its usual time (8:00pm ET) on Fox before being interrupted mid-way through. Why? According to Deadline, a Presidential Address will happen tonight and Fox is scheduled to air the speech from 9:00pm – 9:20pm ET. They will then pick up the rest of “The Masked Singer” finale making the end time 10:20pm ET.

Yep, you read that right. If you’re watching live, expect to take a pause right when things are likely getting really good. Honestly? While not ideal, at least the show will resume and still wrap the same night. And the interruption kind of adds a weird, live-TV energy to the whole thing.

What Other Shows Are Impacted?

It’s not just “The Masked Singer” dealing with the shuffle. Several major shows across networks will feel the ripple effect, per Deadline.

The Survivor” Season 50 finale will also be interrupted in a similar manner to “The Masked Singer,” while shows like “America’s Culinary Cup,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” “The Late Show” and “The Tonight Show” are expected to be pushed back by about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, there is one group of viewers who get to skip the chaos entirely. On the West Coast, the Presidential Address will air at 6:00pm PT; meaning primetime and late-night schedules stay completely intact. Must be nice, right?

The ‘Masked Singer’ Season 14 Finale

At the end of the day, the finale is still happening; and it seems like it’s shaping up to be one of the most entertaining episodes of the season. A little interruption isn’t going to stop the reveals, the performances, or the inevitable “wait… HOW did I not guess that?” moment.

So maybe just keep the remote close… and your snacks fully stocked.
