Netflix Reaches Verdict on ‘With Love, Meghan’ Season 3

Netflix will not move forward with a third season of “With Love, Meghan,” bringing an early end to the Duchess of Sussex’s lifestyle series after two seasons and a holiday special.

According to Page Six, the streamer has no plans to renew the show, which debuted in 2025 as part of Meghan Markle’s broader creative partnership with Netflix. While neither Netflix nor Markle has publicly announced a cancellation, industry insiders said discussions about continuing the series have stalled, and no new episodes are currently in development.

“With Love, Meghan” positioned Markle as a lifestyle host, blending cooking, entertaining tips, and personal storytelling from her home in Montecito, California. The series launched alongside her lifestyle brand, As Ever, and aimed to extend that brand’s reach through a streaming platform with a global audience.

Ratings Struggles and Shifting Priorities

Viewership data suggests the show struggled to sustain momentum. According to Netflix engagement figures cited by Deadline, the second season failed to break into Netflix’s U.S. Top 10 rankings and generated significantly lower viewing hours than the platform’s top-performing lifestyle and reality titles. The holiday special released later in the year also posted modest numbers by Netflix standards.

According to People, there are “no plans” for a third season and said the decision reflects both performance concerns and a shift in Markle’s priorities. Producing the series while launching and managing As Ever proved time-intensive, the source said, prompting Markle to reconsider the long-term viability of the format.

Page Six reported that Netflix and Markle explored the idea of additional themed specials, including holiday-focused episodes, but those conversations did not progress into active production. For now, the series is finished in its current form.

A Changing Netflix Relationship

The reported cancellation also comes amid broader changes to Netflix’s relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The couple signed a widely publicized multi-year production deal with the streamer in 2020, which resulted in projects including the documentary series “Harry & Meghan.” That agreement has since evolved into a first-look arrangement, according to Page Six, signaling a more selective approach to future collaborations.

Critics offered mixed reactions to “With Love, Meghan” during its run. Some praised the show’s relaxed tone and emphasis on connection, while others said it struggled to define a clear identity in an already crowded lifestyle television market. Reviews frequently questioned whether the series offered enough originality to compete with established figures in the genre.

The Daily Mail reported that Markle plans to focus more heavily on expanding and developing short-form lifestyle content rather than committing to a full-season television production. That strategy would allow her to maintain a public-facing creative presence without the demands of a weekly streaming series.
