Reba McEntire Issues Touching Video Message for Dolly Parton

A day after country legend Dolly Parton issued a video statement to set the record straight about health issues that caused her to cancel multiple appearances, fellow country superstar and “The Voice” coach Reba McEntire released her own video on October 9, 2025.

In the social media message, McEntire, 70, clapped back at AI images of them circulating on social media and offered her love and prayers for Parton, 79.

Reba McEntire Tells Dolly Parton ‘You Better Know I’m Praying For You’

In Parton’s video message on October 8, she laughed off AI-generated images of her looking sick, supposedly with McEntire sitting at her bedside. Though the two have been longtime friends, Parton quipped that McEntire probably won’t be right by her side when she takes her last breath.

“You tell ’em Dolly,” McEntire said in her video. “That AI mess has got us doing all kind of crazy things.”

Sharing screenshots of the fake images, including one of her holding sonogram images, she continued, “You’re out there dying. I’m out here having a baby. Well, both of us know you’re too young and I’m too old for any of that nonsense.”

“But you better know I’m praying for you,” McEntire sweetly told Parton. “I love you with all my heart and I can’t wait to see you soon. Love you!”

McEntire captioned her post, “Too young to die, too old for babies 🤣 I love you, @DollyParton! See you soon ❤️”

Dolly Parton Also Assured Fans Images of Her Looking Sick Were Fake

In addition to clarifying that rumors of her being near death were false, Parton’s October 8 video addressed the online hoaxes that had been circulating since she backed out of multiple shows in order to undergo multiple procedures.

“Did you see that AI picture of Reba and me?” she laughed. “Oh lordy, I mean, they had Reba at my death bed and we both looked like we need to be buried. But I thought, ‘Oh my lord! But if I was really dying, I don’t think Reba would be the one at my death bed. She might come visit me earlier.”

Parton, who said she was busy filming promos for the Grand Ole Opry, continued, “I figured if you heard it from me, you’d know that I was okay. So anyhow, that’s what I wanted to say, and I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me, and I ain’t done working.”
