GettyReid Perry has announced his departure from his family band, The Band Perry, choosing to continue working in the music industry behind the scenes.
Reid shared a black-and-white photo of himself on stage in front of a packed crowd, accompanied by a caption announcing his exit.
“To the fans, you’ve always been my favorite part of this. I’ve decided to leave TBP,” he began.
However, Reid said that he will continue to work in music, managing singer Ryan Coleman, a country artist who competed on “The Voice.”
“I’ll be missing seeing you in the crowd at a Band Perry show but I’ll be around, managing a new voice I believe in more than anything, Ryan Coleman,” he wrote.
He continued, “For me it was and will always be about making great country music, with and for the hardworking people who love it and live it. Thank you for every memory, I’ll see you back in the saddle. I wish Kimberly and TBP the best as they move forward into the future.”
