With infectious rhythms and vibrant melodies, a signature warm energy, and a multicultural sound beloved by millions, she delivered hits like ‘Whenever, Wherever,’ ‘Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),’ and ‘Hips Don’t Lie.’”
The statement concluded, “Shakira has won four Grammy awards and fifteen Latin Grammys, topped global charts and sold over 125 million records, was named one of the most-streamed Latin artists by Spotify (paving the way for other Spanish-language superstars like Bad Bunny), and was recognized as one of the world’s most powerful and influential women by both Forbes and Time.
