How to Watch ‘The Voice’ Premiere
While it seems like we just watched Aiden Ross win season 28 of “The Voice,” we have had a couple of months away. Now, it’s time to start a new season with a lot of new twists and changes, which all seem like a ton of fun.
The new season premieres on Monday, February 23, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes will be two hours long this season, unlike the shorter episodes NBC gave us during season 28.
New episodes will air on NBC. They will then be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
Who Are the Season 29 Coaches?
For this new season, we only have three coaches battling it out. This is a first for “The Voice,” but NBC is having it be a “Battle of Champions.”
All of the returning coaches have won the show before, so which champion can take down the other champions?
For the coaches, Kelly Clarkson has won four of the nine seasons she has appeared on the show. Adam Levine has won three times in the 16 seasons he has appeared on the show. John Legend has won one time in the 11 seasons he has appeared on the show.
It will be interesting to see how these coaches are battling it out against each other, especially with all the twists and turns coming this season.
Blind Auditions Changes
Up first for “The Voice” season 29 will be the Blind Auditions. This is always an exciting round, as it’s the first chance to truly hear the artists. Then it’s always fun to watch the coaches fight for the artist to pick them as their coach.
Some changes for the Blinds this season are the removal of the Block. Yes, no Blocks this season. None of the coaches will be able to block another coach from getting the chance to have that artist on their team.
In addition, the coaches will be competing against each other in the “Triple Turn Competition.” As I said, it’s always fun to see the coaches battle it out when they all turn around for an artist.
Now, when all three coaches hit their button for a certain artist, they will be vying for the most three-chair turn wins. The coach who wins the most will get a special advantage in the next round of the competition.
“The Voice” season 29 airs on Mondays at 9/8c on NBC with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
