Lori Loughlin’s ex-husband Mossimo Giannulli, 62, still thinks highly of the “Full House” star despite their marriage ending after a college admissions scandal dubbed “Varsity Blues” ripped through the headlines in 2019.
In statements given to People from three separate sources, it was revealed that Giannulli is especially thankful for Loughlin’s support of their two daughters, Isabella Rose, 27, and Olivia Jade, 26.
Despite wanting “everything resolved quietly,” according to a source, the fashion designer “thinks she’s a lovely person and an incredible mom.”
Lori Loughlin & Mossimo Giannulli’s Living Situation
GettyAnother insider stated that Loughlin, 61, “is still extremely angry with him,” while a third source shared that the former couple is living “separate lives” now that the dust has settled.
After having served a combined seven months in prison following their guilty plea to conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud, Loughlin and Giannulli reportedly lost their romantic spark.
“Things have never been the same after weathering the college admission fallout and the prison sentences together,” a source told People shortly after the pair announced their divorce in October 2025.
Loughlin and Giannulli were married for 28 years before they decided to part ways. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the duo met at a Los Angeles restaurant in 1995.
When Loughlin began to open up about how she was coping following the widespread controversy, the “When Calls the Heart” actress felt compelled to discuss how forgiveness played a big part in her healing process.
“I try to be a forgiving person. I’m not one to hold onto stuff. Stuff happens to everyone,” she told First for Women in 2024. “We’ve all been in positions to ask for forgiveness, but to ask for it, you have to learn and know how to give forgiveness, too.”
Lori Loughlin’s Daughter Olivia Talks About Being ‘Shamed’
GettyThe former couple’s daughter Olivia, who, along with Isabella, was not charged in the University of Southern California bribery scandal, opened up on “Red Table Talk” in 2020, saying she didn’t want to be “shamed” for the controversy.
“What happened was wrong, and I think every single person in my family can look at it and be like, ‘That was messed up; that was a big mistake,’ but I think what’s so important to me is to learn from the mistake,” she said. “Not to be shamed and punished and never given a second chance.”
Although Loughlin and Giannulli’s romantic future is off the table, the beloved actress is still booked and busy and will make her anticipated return to Hallmark’s “WCTH” season 14,” People reported.
