Hopefully love more, give more, forgive more, do more good, create beauty, and Catherine did all that.”

Rita Wilson Also Recently Wrote Tributes to Late Stars Rob Reiner & Diane Keaton

Rita Wilson has lost several Hollywood friends in the past few months. Her “5 Flights Up” costar Diane Keaton died on October 11, 2025, and her “Sleepless In Seattle” costar Rob Reiner was tragically killed on December 14.

Wilson remembered Keaton with a post that read in part, “Every time I met Diane she was laughing, smiling, creating, observing, reflecting. Her work as an artist is simply outstanding. She could do it all. Just watch The Godfather films and then Annie Hall. I remember being mesmerized seeing her on Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show singing in the most vulnerable way. But so pure and so honest.”

Of Rob Reiner, who directed her in “North” and “The Story of Us,” and his wife Michele, she wrote, “Rob and Michele Reiner are two people who really did make the world a better place. This is truth. We have been friends since our kids were toddlers attending the same preschool. It’s impossible to reconcile the tragedy of their deaths with the beauty they offered the world,” before going on to acknowledge the couple’s many accomplishments and admirable qualities.
