Christina Applegate has been hospitalized in Los Angeles, TMZ reports.
According to the outlet, she was admitted in late March, but the reason remains unknown at this time. It’s also unknown if it has to do with her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
“I have no comment whether she is in the hospital or what her medical treatments are,” a representative for the outlet told TMZ. “She’s had a long history of complicated medical conditions that she has been refreshingly open about, as evidenced in her memoir and on her podcast.”

Christina Applegate first revealed that she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, and has been very open about her journey since then. Specifically, in a 2025 interview with InStyle, she revealed that she has “been in the hospital upwards of 30 times” due to the disease.

Christina Applegate Revealed She Spends Most Of The Day In Bed Because Of MS
GettyIn an interview with PEOPLE in February 2026 ahead of the release of her memoir, Applegate candidly opened up about what it’s like living with MS, detailing that she spends a lot of the day in bed because it’s too painful to move around.
However, the one thing she continues to do each and every day is drive her daughter to school.
“I want to take her; it’s my favorite thing to do. It’s the only time we have together by ourselves,” Applegate says. “I tell myself, ‘Just get her there safely and get home so you can get back into bed.’ And that’s what I do.”
And with that, the diagnosis also caused a major change as “all the things I thought were important shifted.” So with that, she decided to use the time to write her memoir.
“For a long time, it felt impossible to find the meaning in everything I’ve been through, but for the first time in my life, I’ve been able to stop and reflect,” she told PEOPLE. “I’ve packed a lot into these 50-something years. It’s scary — not gonna lie — to finally decide to tell it all.”
