Van Dyke’s birthday marks an incredible milestone for the self-proclaimed “song and dance man,” and his former coworkers and fans alike are celebrating the “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” actor today.

Van Dyke reposted one fan’s Instagram Story, calling him her “spirit animal” and wishing him a happy birthday. Another fan posted saying Van Dyke was “the reason [she] started doing a British accent as a kid,” referencing his role in “Mary Poppins.”

One fan commented on one of Van Dyke’s recent feed posts to say, “Many congratulations to a genius of comedy! Here’s to many more years!”

Van Dyke’s wife, Arlene Silver, posted on her Instagram story, saying, “Happy birthday angel, I love you so much!” Hollywood Reporter journalist Scott Feinberg also shared a photo of himself with the acting legend, captioning it, “Happy 100th birthday to the great Dick Van Dyke.”

Charlie Schlatter, who starred alongside Van Dyke in the long-running ’90s TV show “Diagnosis Murder,” told the New York Post that he wishes he had more photos with his costar. “It’s not like today, where we have [our phones]. That’s my biggest regret. I wish I had more. You were always just sitting around with him, and you never thought to get up off your a** and get a picture,” Schlatter said in reflecting on Van Dyke’s milestone birthday.
