“Days of Our Lives” legend Deidre Hall (Marlena) has a fan in Hollywood A-list star Ryan Gosling, who just sent her a touching gift. The surprise is the latest in serious of exchanges between the two stars, even since Gosling admitted Hall was his OG acting inspiration.

Taking to Instagram, Hall revealed that she had just received the most gorgeous bouquet from the “Project Hail Mary” star. Hall posed with the giant pot of flowers that nearly hid the actress in the photo.
Gosling went all out with the extravagant flower arrangement, which included pink peonies, white delphinium, and Queen Anne’s Lace. The flowers were delivered to Hall at the “Days of Our Lives” set, and it was something she wasn’t expecting.
“Ryan, just when I thought I couldn’t feel more adored… your ‘wall’ of flowers arrived. Unnecessary, but greatly appreciated,” the soap legend wrote on her Instagram post.
Several of Hall’s co-stars chimed in on the beautiful gift she got from one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
“That Gosling. Whatta guy 👏🏼 👏🏼,” wrote Robert Scott Wilson (Alex), while Greg Rikaart (Leo) joked, “So lovely! I’ve left for the day but can someone please see if any flowers have been left in my room?”
Emily O’Brien (Gwen) gushed, “Such a gentleman! I sense a new friendship blooming 😉 🌸” How lovely!!” stated Paul Telfer (Xander).

The budding friendship between Gosling and Hall began about a month ago. Gosling revealed his deep admiration and respect for soap actors during a podcast interview with Josh Horowitz.
It turns out the person who had Gosling’s utmost respect was Hall, because of the talent she showed during the infamous storyline in which the devil possessed Marlena. When Hall heard about Gosling’s kind words, she responded with a sweet invitation for him to come visit her on the set of “Days of Our Lives.”
Gosling immediately responded, excitedly accepting her invitation to take a tour of Salem. The back-and-forth has taken place on social media, with even Gosling’s wife, Eva Mendes, getting in on the action.
Mendes reshared her husband’s video reacting to Hall’s invitation on Instagram, writing, “This collab just hits different ! @deidrehall_official & RG in @dayspeacock …Let’s gooooooo! ♥️.” Hall let Mendes know the level of excitement Gosling and she have brought to Salem has been off the charts.
Fast forward a few weeks, and Gosling made Hall’s day with a bouquet of flowers. Now all Gosling needs to do is show up for that set visit to meet his idol, Hall, in person and give soap fans a real treat.
