“I was the same age as the character, and there was an incredible symmetry between us — unlike Carrie Mathison, who in no way resembles me.”

Claire Danes, now 47, also starred in Baz Luhrmann’s “Romeo + Juliet,” the Apple TV+ drama “The Essex Serpent,” and the Hulu series “Fleishman Is in Trouble.”

 In a “full circle” moment, Danes is reuniting with “My So-Called Life” creator Winnie Holzman for the upcoming HBO drama series, “The Applebaum Curse.”

They will forever regard the show’s legacy as an innovative, pioneering depiction of adolescence.
