Meghan Trainor has been making some big decisions when it comes to both her personal and professional life. As news buzzes around the fact that she canceled her upcoming tour, the singer has decided to accept an offer for her Encino home, which has just been snapped up by a new owner.
Trainor — who lives with her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, and their three children, sons Riley and Barry, and daughter Mikey Moon — “sold her Los Angeles area home the same day she pulled the plug on her upcoming tour,” according to TMZ. “Real estate sources tell us the Encino compound closed Thursday for $6,835,000, moving quickly after hitting the market just about a week ago.”
Meghan Bought the ‘Posh Pad’ Back in 2020
Trainor and Sabara bought the property in 2020, two years after they got married in 2018. When they purchased the home, they nabbed the massive 14,164-square-foot dwelling for $6.5 million.
After buying the property, the couple “completely renovated the home and even added a recording studio,” Realtor.com notes.
“According to property records, Trainor initially listed the seven-bedroom, 7.5-bathroom dwelling for $11.99 million in June 2024,” Realtor.com added. “That asking price was steadily lowered over the next 21 months, eventually falling to $6.99 million in March of this year. Still, Trainor did not manage to secure that full ask, with records indicating that the sale of the posh pad closed for $6.83 million on April 15.”

Built in 1998, Trainor’s now-former home boasts a “dramatic, high-ceilinged formal entry” and “features a modern double staircase,” Realtor.com noted in June 2024. “Beyond that are two living rooms, a great room combining a family room, dining space, and a kitchen. An office and an en suite bedroom complete the main level.”
“The family room is upscale but comfy and casual, too,” Realtor.com added. “There are five en suite bedrooms on the second level, including the primary suite with a fireplace, a lounge area, dual walk-in closets, a sumptuous bathroom, and a large deck overlooking the extensive grounds.”
