After Diane Keaton’s passing on October 11, 2025, at the age of 79, her beloved Sullivan Canyon property — a.k.a. “the house that Pinterest built” — was put on the market for $26.9 million. Now, another dwelling that the iconic actress once called home is selling for $20.5 million.

Originally listed for $25 million in October 2025, which was later adjusted to $22.95 million before landing on its current price, “[t]he property, which was once featured on the cover of Architectural Digest, was purchased by Keaton for $8.1 million in 2007 from another of its very famous owners: pop sensation Madonna,” according to Realtor.com.

Designed by “famed architect Ralph Flewelling” when it was built, Realtor.com notes that it “has since had a number of other owners, including ‘American Horror Story’ creator Ryan Murphy.” Despite the various residents, “many of Keaton’s special touches remain to this day.”

Diane ‘Breathe[d] New Life Into the Space’

Found “in the storied Beverly Hills Flats neighborhood,” per Realtor.com, “Keaton, who was famous for her love of property restoration, carried out a yearslong renovation of the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom dwelling after buying it, returning many of the original Spanish Colonial design details to their former glory, while also transforming many of the main living areas to breathe new life into the space.”

“Diane was one of the most prolific architectural and design minds that we’ve ever seen in the real estate community,” Rayni Williams, who has listed the property with her husband and co-agent, Branden Williams of the Beverly Hills Estates, told The New York Post in October 2025. “There are only a very small handful of people that had her aesthetic.”

“You walk into the foyer, which is a library with seating area, and you’re really enveloped in Diane’s energy because it greets you and that’s untouched,” Rayni continued. “She loved books and she loved to read … you feel her very much, her heart and soul, immediately.”

Along with turning the foyer into a library, Keaton “also transformed the kitchen, creating a vaulted, beam-lined space anchored by a fireplace and an oversized farm table,” the Post notes.

“Her eye for architecture was impeccable,” Rayni added. “She took Spanish Revival and kind of made it a farmhouse kitchen, but then also brought back the Spanish hacienda vibe of it. She just took risks — in her acting, her fashion and in design.”

“This is like your truest house out of all the houses that [Diane] did,” Branden said. “That just really shows her true style.”

“She was just one of a kind in all areas of her life,” Rayni said.
