Following Diane Keaton’s passing in October 2025, her beloved Los Angeles home has hit the market. It’s now selling for $26.9 million after initially being listed in March 2025 for $28.9 million.
Keaton originally bought the property in 2011 for $4.7 million, according to public records (via People).
A special abode for the star, “[a]fter years of buying, renovating, and selling homes, Keaton ultimately found a place to put down roots, spending eight years rebuilding the property from the ground up, a deeply personal process she chronicled in her 2017 book, The House That Pinterest Built,” according to Realtor.com.
“As a lifelong lover of architecture and interior design, Keaton … learned plenty over the years about both the grit of constructing a home and the tenderness of crafting it,” Elle Decor explained. “Her biggest source of design guidance in recent years? While most interior designers and architects keep their obsession with Pinterest hush-hush, Keaton has written an entire book about her love affair with Pinning. In The House That Pinterest Built, she reveals some of the most beautiful spaces that inspired the fabulous remodel of her home, and what lessons her favorite boards have taught her.”
Indeed, her love and use of Pinterest resulted in a truly stunning home.
The Home ‘Is a Visual Treasure Trove’
The five-bedroom, seven-bathroom 1920s home spans over 9,200 square feet and sits on a 0.65-acre lot. Residents of the home can enjoy the multiple fireplaces, an outdoor pool, tall ceilings and a guesthouse.
“Nestled in prestigious Sullivan Canyon, this grand private and gated estate is a visual treasure trove, where every corner reveals a multitude of intricate details designed to captivate and inspire,” the listing noted, according to Realtor.com. “The sprawling brick structure exudes timeless elegance, enhanced by reclaimed features that pay homage to classic craftsmanship while embracing modern sophistication.”
Beyond that, “[t]he estate’s rich textures, thoughtful design elements, and bespoke accents make it not just a residence but a work of art—an extraordinary sanctuary where home meets artistry in perfect harmony.”
