Jennifer Lopez Shares Rare & Wholesome Family Photos With Twins Max & Emme

Jennifer Lopez pulled back the curtain on her life as a mom this Memorial Day. The former “American Idol” judge, 56, posted rare photos and videos with her twins, Max and Emme, 18, showing a side of her life fans rarely get to see.

Lopez Enjoyed Pool Time & a Sing-Along With Her 18-Year-Old Twins

Lopez was joined by her 18-year-old twins, Max Muñiz and Emme Maribel Muñiz, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony. In one sweet moment, the actress was filmed cuddling Max as they posed together with the U.S. flag in the background. Max and Emme kept their looks casual for the celebration.

“Spending the day with the people I love. Happy Memorial Day everybody ❤️🤍💙,” she captioned the post.

The “On the Floor” singer also treated everyone to a passionate sing-along, belting out Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart” with family and friends.

In another playful clip, Lopez floated in the pool on an inflatable ring, clearly enjoying a relaxed afternoon with her loved ones.

Lopez Has Called Her Love for Her Kids ‘Unconditional’

Lopez welcomed twins Max and Emme in February 2008, and over the years, she has often spoken about how motherhood transformed her life in the deepest way.

When the twins were 6 years old, Lopez reflected on the special connection she shares with her children during an interview with People.

“I know everybody feels this way about their kids, but I just feel like they’re super special. I can’t wait to see what they do,” she said, before joking, “I feel like my job is to not mess them up too much.”

Now, years later, Emme Maribel Muñiz has already started stepping into the spotlight, following in Lopez’s footsteps as both a singer and an author.

Emme famously joined Lopez onstage during the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show, confidently performing “Let’s Get Loud” beside her mother in one of the night’s most memorable moments.

The Singer Has Been Honest About the Challenges of Raising Teenagers

Lopez has never shied away from being honest about the realities of raising teenagers.

“The teenage years are tough,” she shared during a May 2023 appearance on “Live With Kelly and Mark”. “It’s challenging. You have this baby for a while and then it’s like, your best little friend who loves being with you all the time, and then all of a sudden it’s like, ‘Get out of my room.’ “

“They are challenging everything you say and everything you do and everything you are, and that’s what it is,” she added. “You have to kind of just ride the waves.”

The singer also opened up about how her journey as a mother has looked different from that of her own mom, Guadalupe Rodríguez, who appeared alongside her on the show.

“I think my mom, for a long time, was a stay-at-home mom, and I’ve always been a working mom, so that right there is a very different thing,” she said. “And also she was 20 years old — by the time she was 26, she had three kids.”

“So she was kind of a kid raising kids. And I had my kids when I was 38, so I had them much later, so I was more of an adult at that time,” Lopez shared. “We kind of grew up together.”
