For the first time since his split from Former “American Idol” judge Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom is opening up. Appearing on Today with Craig Melvin on September 5, the 48-year-old actor reflected on life changes while promoting his new film, “The Cut.”

“And we’re great. We’re going to be great. Nothing but love,” Bloom added.
A Focus on Family & Co-Parenting

At the time, a source told the outlet that Perry planned to “maintain a positive and respectful relationship with Orlando” for Daisy’s sake.

They’re still very much in touch and co-parenting Daisy together.”

Days after the news broke, the actor shared words from Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, including a reflection on loneliness and a reminder that “even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness.”
Bloom’s recent remarks, however, emphasized optimism and gratitude as he highlighted his commitment to family and moving forward with love.
Balancing Personal Life With a Demanding Role
Alongside opening up about his personal life, Bloom has been promoting his new thriller, “The Cut.” In the film, he plays a former boxer haunted by defeat who becomes obsessed with redemption, leading to a spiral into paranoia and anxiety.
Bloom said preparing for the role took a heavy toll. He revealed he lost 30 pounds in three months under the supervision of nutritionist Philip Goglia. “The paranoia and anxiety were very real and disturbing, caused by the lack of sleep — turns out you can’t sleep when you’re hungry,” he told People.
Despite the intense process, Bloom said the project carried a larger message: “Ultimately, this is a story about the struggles we all face and what it takes to battle our internal demons and find self-acceptance.”
