Drew faces one of his biggest decisions yet on “Big Brother 28” as the Power of Veto ceremony approaches.
During the Aug. 31 “Rob Has a Podcast” live feed update, host Taran Armstrong and guest Maggie broke down Drew’s options after Yash won the Veto. Drew originally nominated LaLa, Taylor and Yash, but Yash’s victory means the Head of Household must now select a replacement nominee.
Rick Devens has volunteered to take the spot as a pawn, but Armstrong and Maggie questioned whether that decision could unnecessarily endanger both Devens and the Icons alliance.

Devens offered to go on the block as a way of demonstrating trust, but Armstrong argued that he could be making a strategic mistake by not pushing Drew harder to choose someone else.
Dee and Angela also encouraged Devens to protect himself rather than willingly accept the nomination.
Drew still has other possibilities, including Melody, Barrett and Dee. However, each option could expose relationships and create new problems for his game.
According to the RHAP recap, Drew considered putting Dee on the block as conversations surrounding the upcoming ceremony continued. Dee began feeling increasingly targeted as Drew remained uncertain about his final choice.
Armstrong and Maggie also discussed Drew’s communication with his allies, noting that his indecision and sarcastic approach have sometimes left people unsure of where they stand with him.
ParamountBarrett’s Position Creates Another Problem for the Icons
While Devens’ potential nomination dominated the strategy conversations, Barrett’s position also became increasingly important.
Armstrong and Maggie discussed how the Icons continue to place trust in Barrett despite signs that his loyalty may have shifted. Maggie identified Barrett as a potentially crucial swing player as the house becomes more divided.
That uncertainty makes Drew’s decision even more consequential. Putting one person on the block could strengthen another group while exposing where Drew’s closest relationships actually stand.
Drew’s bond with Melody has also attracted attention. Armstrong and Maggie explored how their closeness could affect both players strategically, particularly as Drew considers his limited replacement options.
Jury Strategy Adds Another Layer to ‘Big Brother 28’
The houseguests are already beginning to consider how their current moves could affect the jury.
During the recap, Armstrong discussed Devens making what appeared to be a joking comment about withholding jury votes. Even if Devens did not intend the remark as a serious threat, the hosts noted that other players could interpret it differently.
Amid the strategic uncertainty, the feeds still produced lighter moments, including Angela spinning Devens around on a pool float.
However, Drew’s looming decision remains at the center of the game.
With Yash safe, the Icons facing uncertainty and Barrett occupying an increasingly important position, Drew has an opportunity to reshape the house. His replacement nominee could strengthen his relationships or leave him searching for new allies as “Big Brother 28” moves deeper into the season as the finale draws closer.
