Haley Thogmartin’s run on “Big Brother 28” ended with the reality TV icons being her strongest alliance. She made many enemies throughout the season, and fans took sides. The telemedicine executive addressed her tense conversations with other houseguests, the potential causes of them, and one thing she regrets now that she’s out of the house.
Haley Thogmartin Regrets How She Treated Taylor Brown on ‘Big Brother 28’
Thogmartin, 29, was eliminated after the season’s major twist. She addressed the reactions to her behavior in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“I have seen a couple things online. Obviously, I’m not proud of some of the things I said. I’m really regretful about a couple things and I obviously own all of it, you know?” she said. “You’re in a high-pressure stakes situation, emotionally, mentally, physically, twenty-four-seven. And so I think it got the best of me for a couple moments and I own all of that.”
Taylor Brown explained to Angela Murray that Thogmartin approached her with an olive branch. The teacher explained that Thogmartin said Murray questioned her about their improved relationship. Thogmartin joined the conversation immediately, angry with Brown.
Brown asked Thogmartin to talk about how she hurt her feelings. She felt like Thogmartin didn’t understand the situation and wanted to educate her on how she made her feel. Thogmartin told her this was “silly” and “drama.” She told Entertainment Weekly that she regrets this.
“I’m incredibly apologetic,” she said. “I would never want anyone to feel that they are less than I am, or saying certain things that made them feel a different way. I was really hurtful with that.”
Some ‘Big Brother’ Alums React to Haley’s Apology
CBSAlums of the game recently returned to celebrate the show’s 1,000 episodes. They shared their opinions on the current season online and on the show.
“Haley seems to be taking accountability for quite a few things, and I respect her for owning it. THIS is what HGs should do once they leave the house. Instead of criticizing the players still playing, maybe reflect on why you’re out and why they’re still there. #bb28,” Danielle Reyes from season 3 shared on X on Sept. 3.
“Nah,” Jun Song from season 4 replied to Reyes’s post. “IDK. On the surface, Thog seems apologetic enough but she [definitely] has a script and she’s sticking to it. Because we’re not talking about her being ‘rude’ or ’emotional.’ Her actions go beyond that. It’s just giving blanket apology. Hope she goes MIA Maggie-style,” she shared on X.
The Murray, Thogmartin, and Brown conversation happened when the teacher was a house target. Murray wanted to give her a hard week. She told Brown that they were supposed to work together. “The Amazing Race” alum accused her of having other alliances, which Brown denied.
Drew Campbell hoped to get Brown evicted before jury started because it was her goal. The confrontations discouraged Brown, and she told LaTrice “LaLa” Verrett she wanted to go home. However, Brown’s game isn’t over, and she outlasted Thogmartin this week.
