A new face has officially entered the “Real Housewives of Potomac” world, and she’s bringing what she calls “main character energy.” Angel Massie made her debut on season 10, and fans are already buzzing about her family, career, and connections within the group.
“The biggest misconception people have about me when they meet me is that I’m gonna be a bitch,” Massie revealed in a confessional during the season premiere. “I guess I give resting bitch face, but actually, inside, I’m a girls’ girl.”
She described herself as “the calm” in a group dynamic, adding that she’s “the girl that people come to for advice and happiness.” In an interview with The Daily Dish, Massie teased, “You can expect to see a real classy woman who’s very zen but tells it like it is.”
As the Bravo newcomer settles into the fold, here’s everything to know about her life before joining the show.
Angel Massie’s Family, Upbringing, and Career
According to her BravoTV.com bio, Massie was “raised in Baltimore within a tight-knit and influential family,” and her “upbringing was defined by its prestige.” She attended elite schools with an international curriculum and developed a passion for equestrian sports, which later inspired her luxury outdoors business.
The entrepreneur started her career in broadcast journalism and production with BET News. Later, she pivoted to co-found Wanderland Outdoors in Colorado with her husband, offering “luxurious guided outdoor experiences.”
“We offer luxurious guided outdoor experiences in Colorado,” Massie explained on “RHOP.” “And we really put our foot and heart and soul into giving mountain luxury and to really just have, like, a fun kickback.”
She noted that they’re currently expanding their business to Maryland through Wanderland Atlantic. Meditation plays a key role in her life and work. “Meditation and mindfulness plays such an important role in my life because it grounds me in the present moment,” she said. “It has helped me to heal after my mom passed away.”
Her Husband, Kids, and Ties to the RHOP Cast
Massie is married to former NFL offensive tackle Bobby Massie. The couple moved to Colorado when Bobby signed with the Denver Broncos but recently returned to the DMV area to be closer to family.
“We knew that we wanted to come back to the DMV because all of our family is here. This is our home,” she said.
They share two children: 4-year-old son Cush and 1-year-old daughter Gaia, both of whom appeared on the October 5 episode.
Massie’s connection to the cast comes through Keiarna Stewart, her friend of more than 20 years. “Love her dearly. She’s awesome,” Stewart said. “Angel goes on a ride this season, and, you know what? I’m staying beside her. But I think she’s incredible. She’s what Housewives are made of.”
She also has a few fun ties to the group. During a hike, Massie told Stewart that Ashley Darby was once her “bottle girl,” and she attended Temple University with Wendy Osefo. “I don’t know Wendy well,” she admitted. “She’s several years older than me, so by the time she was getting ready to get out the door at Temple, I was just in the door, right? But I’ve always known Wendy to be a completely ambitious, go-getter.”
Wendy’s memory of their overlap was less clear: “No, I do not know her,” Osefo told a producer. “Familiar face, yes. But same circle, no.”
Catch Angel Massie on new episodes of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” Sunday nights on Bravo.
