Brittany Cartwright shared new details about the “mommy makeover” she underwent more than a year after filing for divorce from Jax Taylor.
“The Valley” star spoke out on the Oct. 10 episode of her “When Reality Hits” podcast to share a post-surgery update nearly a week after revealing she had surgery.
“I recently had a mommy makeover, and I am beyond excited about my decision,” Cartwright, 35, said on her podcast. “I am so happy. It’s something that I have wanted to do for me for a very long time.”
The mom of one explained that she struggled with stretch marks and diastasis recti, a separation of muscles along the front of the abdomen, after giving birth to her son, Cruz, in 2021. No amount of diet or exercise would fix those issues, so she went for a “full-on mommy makeover,” she explained.
“So they did abdominal reconstruction and then I did lipo around my back and around my sides and my stomach to help, like, shape and get my body back to the way it was looking pre-baby,” Cartwright said. “And then I had a full tummy tuck. They moved my belly button up. … And then with my boobs, I got my implants taken out. I got a smaller size put in. And I got a lift.”
“I am so so so happy,” she added. “So, that is everything I got done. I got abdominal reconstruction, lipo, tummy tuck, and breast implants taken out, smaller ones put in, and a lift. And I am so freaking excited.”

Cartwright first revealed that she had surgery in an Instagram post on Oct. 5. The Bravo star posted a mirror selfie from her bathroom, where she wore compression bandages wrapped around her stomach. Post-surgical drains could also be seen in the photo.
“When they said, ‘remove what no longer serves you,’ I took it literally,” she teased. “Y’all know I always keep it real — and sooo … I did a thing. Something I’ve wanted to do for years, and I finally took the step for me. I couldn’t be happier. Still recovering but feeling stronger (and lighter) every day.”
On the podcast, Cartwright said she always wanted to get a mommy makeover but put it off because she had expected to have more kids with Taylor.
“And obviously, that did not work out. So that was part of the reason why I was pushing off having the surgery,” she explained, adding that she is not against not having more kids in the future.

Cartwright’s new look comes after she went public with a new boyfriend over the summer and was seen in Mexico with him.
In September, Cartwright told E! News that her beau, Brad Hanson, was someone she knew before she moved to Los Angeles wth Taylor. “It’s somebody that I used to date 15 years ago, so we’re reconnecting,” she explained. “I know him from my Kentucky days. So, just trying to enjoy it.”
On her podcast, Cartwright confirmed that Hanson did not pay for her surgery. “Absolutely not,” she said. “Nobody paid for my surgery but me. All me. I decided everything I wanted to do for me. And little side note, I’m single.”
“We actually did not last,” she added of her romance with Hanson. “We were very good friends before we started dating. It was kind of like a whirlwind relationship. It went into the public way sooner than we ever would have wanted it to. We still care about each other. It ended amicably, but I just could not do the long distance. And you know, he’s got a lot of obligations with his three kids and jobs, and we live three hours away. So, it was just too tough to keep it going.”
“So, your girl is single and definitely nobody paid for my surgery but me,” Cartwright added.
