Longtime fans of Bravo’s “Southern Charm” certainly remember one-season star, Eliza Limehouse. The former reality TV star came from one of the oldest families in Charleston, as the season 6 alum worked at one of her family’s historic hotels.
Limehouse has not been seen on the show since, but she has recently announced that she and her husband, Struthers McBride, were going to be parents to a baby girl, the married couple’s second child. In their conversation with People, Limehouse also revealed baby No. 2’s beautiful, unique name that holds special meaning.
Eliza Limehouse Reveals The Deeply Personal Meaning Behind Her Baby Girl’s Name
Former “Southern Charm” star Eliza Limehouse spoke to People, where she and her husband, Struthers McBride, announced they were expecting a baby girl due around the Christmas season.
The couple, already parents to 5 year old son, Patton, initially believed they were expecting another boy and had chosen a name. But after learning they were actually having a girl, Limehouse chose to keep the original name, explaining that its special meaning made it perfect regardless of gender.
The couple chose to name their daughter Bancroft Limehouse McBride.
“Struthers and I are over the moon to share that we’re expecting a baby girl, set to join us on December 20, 2025,” she shared with the outlet. “What makes her name so special is that it carries on a family legacy — it’s my late grandfather’s middle name and my father’s middle name as well, Harry Bancroft Limehouse Jr. and III. I originally thought I’d be having another boy, which is how I decided to use the name Bancroft.”
She further revealed, “When I found out we were having a girl, I couldn’t let go of the name and decided to keep it. We’ll be nicknaming her ‘Croft,’ and her middle name will be my last name since I didn’t take my husband’s name.”
How the Christmas Season Holds Special Meaning to Limehouse
The former Bravo star looks forward to December every year. She and McBride’s son, Patton, celebrate his birthday on Christmas Eve. Meanwhile, Limehouse will celebrate turning 30 on Christmas Day.
In fact, the couple’s daughter is also expected to be born around the same time.
“It’s so funny how all of these Christmas birthdays happened completely unplanned,” Limehouse told People. “I don’t know if she’ll arrive on the 20th — she might come sooner or later — but it’s heartwarming that our birthdays are so close together during the holidays. We love Christmas time so much. We’re so excited to meet our fellow Capricorn.”
According to People, Limehouse and McBride wed in a private ceremony on her grandparents’ property in South Carolina in October 2020. Limehouse, who showed off her polo-playing skills on “Southern Charm,” also made sure to have her horses be a part of her big day.
“I’ve always known that I wanted my horses to be involved in my wedding, so after the ceremony we took photos with them. The horses were so cute and they knew it was a special day and they behaved perfectly,” she shared.
