The holidays just got sweeter for Bravo’s “Southern Charm” alum Eliza Limehouse after she welcomed her second child with husband Mark ‘Struthers’ McBride. The couple is now proud parents of a baby girl named Bancroft Limehouse McBride, who was born on December 10.
The couple, who are already parents to four year old son, Patton, shared their joy with People as they introduced the newest addition to their family.
Eliza Limehouse & Mark ‘Struthers’ McBride Welcome Baby No. 2
The Limehouse McBride family just grew by one as “Southern Charm” alum Eliza Limehouse and her husband, Mark “Struthers” McBride, welcomed their daughter, Bancroft Limehouse McBride, at 8 p.m. on Dec. 10.
People shared photos of Limehouse and baby Bancroft in matching pink pajamas in the hospital, while another snapshot showed McBride holding his newborn daughter.
Limehouse shared with the outlet that Bancroft came into the world weighing in at 8 lbs. and measuring 21 inches long, nearly identical to her brother, Patton. In fact, she shared that the newborn was born at the same time as her brother.
“Funnily enough, it was the coldest night of the year when we brought Patton home and potentially one of our coldest days as well when we brought her home,” Limehouse, who resides in South Carolina, told People. “Patton and I are excited to share our December birthdays with Bancroft.”
Limehouse celebrates her birthday on Christmas Day, just one day after her son Patton, who was born on Christmas Eve. She told People that she had hoped baby Bancroft would arrive close to their birthdays, but she had other plans.
“We thought she would come closer to our birthdays, but she decided to make other plans! Patton and I will be 5 and 30 on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We have been laughing because I designed myself a bracelet with all of our birthstones, and my husband, Struthers, is the random April birthstone, while we are all three blue topaz.”
Limehouse Shares Reason for Her Baby’s Unique Name
Bancroft isn’t a name you hear often, and the couple revealed that their newborn was named after Limehouse’s late grandfather and father, who both share Bancroft as their middle name.
In fact, Limehouse initially believed she was having a baby boy, but the name fits perfectly with their daughter.
“What makes her name so special is that it carries on a family legacy — it’s my late grandfather’s middle name and my father’s middle name as well, Harry Bancroft Limehouse Jr. and III. I originally thought I’d be having another boy, which is how I decided to use the name Bancroft,” she told People in November.
She continued, “When I found out we were having a girl, I couldn’t let go of the name and decided to keep it. We’ll be nicknaming her ‘Croft,’ and her middle name will be my last name since I didn’t take my husband’s name.”
Limehouse is overjoyed with her newest addition and even shared with the outlet that she hoped Bancroft would find interest in the family’s love of horses. “I can’t wait to see if she ends up being a horse lover, like the rest of us!”
