“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Heather Dubrow appeared on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” alongside Bridget Everett on October 9 ahead of the highly anticipated “RHOC” Season 19 reunion. While answering fan questions, Heather revealed why she and her husband Terry were absent from Alexis Bellino and John Janssen‘s wedding.
Alexis & John’s ‘Rustic Chic’ Wedding
“RHOC” alum Alexis and John officially tied the knot in Laguna Beach, California on October 3. Bellino confirmed the news on Instagram when she reposted a PEOPLE magazine article. There were 140 of the couple’s closest family members and friends, including “RHOC” stars Tamra Judge, Jo De La Rosa, and Heather Amin.
“We envisioned a dreamy, romantic, rustic chic vibe with earthy elegance,” Alexis told the magazine in the exclusive interview. “Our venue gave us that perfect mix of natural beauty and privacy, nestled between the canyon and the sea. It felt like we were celebrating in a secret garden by the ocean.”
When posting about the wedding on her Instagram stories, Tamra wrote, “It was one of the most beautiful, romantic, fun spiritual weddings I’ve ever been [to].”
Prior to the wedding, Tamra explained to The Hollywood Reporter how her and Alexis mended their friendship. “If you were to ask me that two years ago, I would say, ‘Hell no, I don’t want her back.’ But I met her at BravoCon, and with Andy [Cohen] standing over us, we had a very deep conversation about the past and where she is today, and regrets and things like that and we became very close.”
On July 10, Tamra confirmed her invitation to the wedding on “Watch What Happens Live” when she told the host, “I’m actually really good friends with Alexis and John.”
Were Heather & Terry Even Invited to Alexis & John’s Wedding?
In a clip posted to the official “Watch What Happens Live” X account following the live show on October 9, a fan asked Heather a two-part question regarding Alex and John’s wedding.
“I was wondering if you were invited to John Janssen and ‘Jesus Jug’s’ wedding? And, two-part, what are your thoughts on a Friday wedding?” The fan referenced the infamous nickname “Jesus Jugs” that Tamra coined for Alexis on an episode of “RHOC.”
“I didn’t realize it was a Friday wedding,” said Cohen. Heather agreed, stating, “Oh, I didn’t even think about that.”
The “Real Housewives” star had a classy response to the fan’s question while still sticking up for fellow “RHOC” co-star, Shannon Beador, who is also John’s ex-girlfriend. “Terry and I were invited to the wedding,” she confirmed. “We were at parents’ weekend this weekend with our daughter. You know, complicated invite because obviously Shannon’s a good friend. And we’re not friends with Alexis and John as a couple, but I do, you know, think Alexis is a great mom and a great girl. And I wish her all the happiness in the world.”
