Cameras may have stopped rolling, but the cast of “Next Gen NYC” is far from finished stirring up trouble. Ariana Biermann admitted that plenty of loose ends remain from the first season.
The Drama Didn’t End With Season 1 Finale of ‘Next Gen NYC’
“I think there was a lot of unresolved stuff,” Biermann said on August 12. “Maybe if there is a season 2, then that’s where we will hash it out.”
Brooks Marks agreed, telling Us Weekly at The Perch by Skylight atop PENN 2 in New York City that the lack of a reunion left much to be said. “There are a lot of things that are unresolved from the end of the season,” Marks, 26, said. “Someone did remove himself from the group chat.” When asked if that “someone” was Charlie Zakkour, Marks only laughed, seemingly confirming the rumor.
Georgia McCann added that a shake-up could be exactly what the show needs moving forward. “I feel like there’s always room to mix up the cast. Like, why not? It keeps things exciting,” McCann shared. “Maybe, like, another New Yorker. The male version of me would be really fun to have.”
Who’s In, Who’s Out, and Who’s Still on the Fence
According to a casting update sent to Bravo and Cocktails, season 2 is already taking shape. Biermann, Gia Giudice, Riley Burruss, Marks, McCann, Emira D’Spain, Ava Dash, and Hudson McLeroy are confirmed to return, with Dash’s participation coming as a surprise to producers who initially doubted she would sign on.
Zakkour and Dylan Kane remain uncertain. Zakkour was hesitant after backlash to his season 1 edit, but producers see him as a strong villain—especially with ongoing crypto allegations and speculation that he’s been cut off financially. Kane’s return will likely depend on Zakkour’s, though producers are open to featuring him as a part-time presence. McCann’s ex Omar Zaki may also be considered to film with Zakkour if he comes back.
New names are in the mix as well. Avery Singer, daughter of “Real Housewives of New York City” alum Ramona Singer, and her friend Jolie Golub are being eyed to join. The pair run Bach Boss, a brand popular among bachelorette party planners. Producers believe the business tie-in could be great for the show, and if Singer brings even a fraction of her mother’s personality, they think she’d be a strong villain addition.
Season 1 of “Next Gen NYC” is available to stream on Peacock.
