Dorit Kemsley Makes Bold Statement as She Navigates Her Divorce

Dorit Kemsley is entering a new chapter on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season 15 as she navigates life and work following her separation from Paul “PK” Kemsley.

During Episode 6, Kemsley explained that the split impacted more than her personal life, noting it also ended their professional relationship because PK had been her manager.

As Kemsley begins working with a new management team, she said she wants to earn more money independently and avoid financial stress. The episode also previewed rising tension between her and Bravo newcomer Amanda Frances, with their conflict flaring during a dinner meant to celebrate Kemsley’s latest career milestone.

RHOBH Star Dorit Kemsley Says She Needs to Earn Money After PK Split

During Episode 6, Kemsley met with her new management team and spoke directly about her financial mindset moving forward.

“You guys, I need to work. I need to earn money,” Kemsley told the duo over lunch. “I don’t want to have worries. I want to be able to buy myself whatever I want, do whatever I want for the kids. I’ve got goals.”

Kemsley later expanded on her feelings during “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show,” describing the moment as a chance to pursue things on her own.

“I always had financial independence,” Kemsley said. “However, my life was so intertwined with PK. So, I feel liberated, and I have the freedom to now go pursue things, whereas before, I didn’t.”

During the After Show conversation, she also addressed how she feels her estranged husband has handled their finances since the split.

“I never expected him to be so capable of, like, this ice-cold cut,” Kemsley said. “It’s more of a game than anything. … I don’t think he even wants the divorce.”

‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Dorit Kemsley Announces Memoir ‘Unburdened’

Kemsley is also working on a book. During the Jan. 22 episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” she shared that she is writing a memoir titled “Unburdened,” which is currently slated for an April 2026 release.

“Writing a book is going to really give me the opportunity to not only go through the journey of processing everything that I’m going through, but thinking about everything that’s led me to where I am today — the good, the bad, the ugly,” Kemsley said in a confessional. “It’s gonna be a cathartic experience to put pen to paper and then really feel like I’m moving into a new chapter in my life.”

Kemsley told her managers she hopes the book gives readers a fuller picture of who she is.

“I want people to be able to pick up my book, finish my book, and know that they understand me so much better,” she said.

On the “RHOBH After Show,” she added that the memoir will not be solely focused on the divorce.

“Even though I’m opening up a lot to the group about the woes, there’s also some really great things,” Kemsley said. “The flip side to the sad and depressing things are that there are a lot of great things on the horizon, you know, workwise. Signing the book deal was definitely a highlight.”

Dorit Kemsley Book Deal Celebration Turns Tense With Amanda Frances

Kemsley announced the deal during a dinner party hosted by Rachel Zoe. In the episode, the women reacted enthusiastically and started a “book deal” chant in support of her news.

The celebratory moment changed when Frances asked if Kemsley was using a ghostwriter, and then pointed out she wrote her self-published book on her own.

Kemsley explained she worked with a mother-daughter duo as co-authors because of time constraints. She later reacted to the moment in a confessional.

“For someone who claims to be an author, she sure doesn’t know how to read the room,” Kemsley said.

She echoed that sentiment on the After Show and explained why she did not take on the project alone.

“For me to be able to do it with the deadline while being a single parent… It would be something that would take me three, four, five years,” Kemsley said, calling Frances’ comments “unflattering.”

Frances addressed the moment separately on the “After Show” and said she did not intend to come across as shady.

“I was confused because I didn’t know what a co-author was,” Frances said. “It was just a new concept to me.”

Amanda Frances Confirms Their Feud Continues in Season 15

Frances suggested the tension with Kemsley could continue beyond Episode 6. Ahead of the Jan. 22 episode, she said she does not believe they will move past what happened.

“We don’t recover,” Frances told Us Weekly. “And the thing is, we could have.”

Frances explained that a conversation between them could have been an opportunity to connect, especially given that the dinner fell around the three-year anniversary of her son Zion’s death. She previously revealed she and fiancé Eddie Tsivislavsky welcomed twins prematurely in 2022. Zion died in her arms at five days old, while his brother Canaan survived after a stay in the NICU.

“For me, an apology and hearing about what was going on for her and where she was in her divorce situation, and me explaining what it was to have twins and lose a child … it could have been a get to know each other moment,” Frances said. “It could have been bonding. We could have repaired. We could have recovered.”

New episodes of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” air Thursday nights on Bravo.
