Todd Chrisley Supports Bravo Star Steve McBee Sr. as He Prepares for Prison

Bravo star Steve McBee Sr. says he has found an unexpected source of support in fellow reality star Todd Chrisley as he prepares to report to federal prison. What began as a simple introduction through a producer has since grown into a steady lifeline during one of the most challenging moments of his life.

Todd Chrisley Supports Steve McBee Sr. Ahead of Prison Sentence

The 52-year-old star of the reality TV series “McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” recently told People that the two men connected over their high-profile legal battles. In October, McBee pleaded guilty to one count of federal crop insurance fraud and was sentenced to 24 months in prison.

“I cannot say enough good things about Todd,” McBee shared with People. He says that after appearing on a podcast with Chrisley last week, the two went to lunch — and what happened there left a strong impression.

“We walked in to the restaurant, and there was a beautiful young lady as a hostess, and she looked at Todd and just started crying,” McBee says. “She was like, ‘Mr. Chrisley, we love you. I just got out of prison Oct. 9., and the changes that you have made for my sisters that are still in there of getting treated like a human — you’re changing everybody’s life.’ It was a powerful moment.”

McBee says he later called his son Cole to share what happened. “I said, ‘When I get out, I want to do something like that,’” he says. “It was such an inspiration.”

Inside Steve McBee Sr. & Todd Chrisley’s Close Bond

McBee is scheduled to self-surrender to a federal prison in Yankton, South Dakota, on Monday, Dec. 1. As the date approaches, McBee says Chrisley has been a steady presence.

“We’ve had hours of conversation,” McBee says. “He doesn’t owe me anything, and he’s texted me every other day, like, ‘Checking on you, buddy. How are you feeling today? It’s going to be okay. Everything’s going to be all right. We’re going to get through this. I’m going to help you any way I can.’”

Chrisley has also reached out to McBee’s four sons: Steven Jr., Jesse, Cole and Brayden. “Todd texts all of my boys telling them they’re going to be okay,” McBee says. “I literally can’t tell you enough good things.”

McBee says the Chrisley family is also guiding him through the process of applying for a presidential pardon. “I’ve been meeting with pardon attorneys,” he says. “We’re putting everything together to fill out the application and turn everything in.”

Despite everything ahead, McBee says he is focused on staying positive.

“I’ve never been a victim, nor will I be a victim,” he says. “I’m going to be okay, and I’m going to continue to work hard. I’m just going to make the best of a bad situation.”
