Tom Sandoval and Jax Taylorโs relationship has had its share of ups and downs, but the two Bravo alums are in a good place today.
In a recent interview, Sandoval said he and Taylor, who first appeared together in 2013 during Season 1 of “Vanderpump Rules,” have rebuilt their friendship over the past year and enjoyed some one-on-one time in recent weeks.

In an August interview with Decider, Sandoval reflected on his sometimes tumultuous relationship with Taylor.
โI actually just saw Jax yesterday. We went and saw a movie together,โ he shared. โWeโre doing good. Iโm really just trying to support [him and] be a good friend to him as he gets the help that he needs. I just wish him all the best.โ
Sandoval shared that their most recent hangout included a screening of “Freakier Friday,” adding that heโs focused on being present for Jax as he navigates personal changes.
Rekindling Their Bond Amid Life Changes
The two rekindled their friendship in late 2024 during a difficult time for Jax, who was going through a highly publicized separation from Brittany Cartwright. Jax discussed the reconnection on his former podcast “When Reality Hits,” revealing that Sandoval had reached out unexpectedly.
โI know people are gonna be shocked by that,โ Jax said in the Oct. 3, 2024, episode. โI have been hanging out with him a little bit more latelyโฆ. I couldnโt believe it. He actually reached out to me while I was in the [rehabilitation] facility. He was just checking in on me, โHow you doing? Whatโs going on?โ And I was shocked because I havenโt heard from Tom in a long time.โ
Jax has since announced two major life changes. On July 15, 2025, he confirmed he would be leaving “The Valley” after two seasons, citing a need to focus on his mental health, sobriety, and his 4-year-old son, Cruz Michael Cauchi.
โAfter an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, Iโll be stepping away from the next season of ‘The Valley,’โ he said in a statement before the Season 2 finale. โRight now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health, and coparenting. Taking this time is necessary for me to become the best version of myself โ especially for our son, Cruz.โ
For now, both Sandoval and Jax appear committed to personal growth while keeping their renewed friendship intact.
