On the Dec. 16 episode of Bravo’s newly rebooted “Vanderpump Rules,” the staff at SUR restaurant was introduced to their newest server, Angelica Jensen.
Although her entrance was anything but graceful, fans were surprised to learn that she had switched careers after earning a degree in neuroscience to join the world of reality TV and fine dining.

BravoOn “Vanderpump Rules” season 12, fans were introduced to SUR restaurant’s newest employee, Angelica Jensen. Jensen met Lisa Vanderpump’s staff after her annual photoshoot, but her entrance wasn’t exactly ideal.
As Jensen walked up to meet everyone, she tripped over camera wires and fell on the floor. While it wasn’t the prettiest entrance, Jensen did receive a warm round of applause from the staff as she got up and continued participating in the photoshoot.
In a confessional, she joked, “Maybe not my ideal first impression, but I feel like it really grounded me, in a way. Maybe this worked in my favor, because now people are going to want to be nice to me, right? Like, who’s gonna want to be mean to the girl that just ate [expletive]?”
Fans later learn about Jensen’s background, which was really interesting. Speaking to the cameras, she shared that because her father was in the Navy, she found herself in “13 grade schools, three middle schools, and three high schools.”
But what impressed viewers was that she received her “psychobiology degree from UCLA, which is technically neuroscience.”
However, she quickly learned that it would be much harder to pay her rent, so she decided to work as a server, bringing her intelligence to the fast-paced world of SUR. Fans are now intrigued to see how her brains and charm will play out on the show, especially since she added that she “prioritized other hobbies, like boys.”
Jensen Is Using Her Opportunity on VPR To Chase Her Dreams
BravoWhen fans first met the new cast of “Vanderpump Rules” season 12, they learned that most of the employees at SUR are chasing big dreams in the entertainment industry.
Audrey Lingle, a server at SUR, shared in the premiere episode, “Everyone who works at SUR is trying to make it in the entertainment industry. We’re all singers, actors, dancers. I’m definitely manifesting roles in horror films.” In fact, Lingle even gave her best dying scream in her confessional.
The premiere episode even saw SUR’s lead bartender Natalie Maguire showcasing her vocal skills in the recording booth, and they were pretty impressive. It certainly brought fans back to Scheana Shay and Lala Kent’s pop aspiration days.
As for Jensen, she shared aspirations to become an actress, noting that her background in neuroscience and medical experience actually gave her some unexpected advantages.
“I studied neuroscience at UCLA, but I realized quickly that wasn’t going to be a thing for me. Like, I kept fainting every time I drew blood. Then I was like, ‘Oh my God, but I can be on ‘Grey’s Anatomy,'” she shared with the Daily Dish.
She continued, “Now, I do acting, I have my own clothing company, and I kind of just dip my feet into all of it.”
