Jonah Hill’s Former Manhattan Loft Is Selling for $12.35 Million After He Leaves the Big City to Raise His Kids

Jonah Hill may be a Hollywood actor; however, he’s now living outside of Los Angeles. In fact, the star recently revealed that he left L.A. behind while raising his kids.

“So I live in a very small town in San Diego, and it’s amazing, and my neighbors are incredible people,” Hill said during a SiriusXM live taping of the “SmartLess” podcast on Saturday, April 25, according to People. “When we had our first kid, we moved out there three years ago.”

“I wanted to leave L.A. and raise a family outside of Los Angeles,” Hill added.

It looks like Hill might also be done with New York City living, as he previously sold his Manhattan loft. Now, the impressive abode is selling for $12.35 million.

If you’ve ever dreamed of living in New York, then Hill’s former dwelling might be just what you had in mind. That is, if you appreciate a home that offers plenty of perks and fabulous features.

“The four-bedroom loft is on Bleecker Street in the NoHo neighborhood, within the character-laden pre-war building dubbed the Schumacher,” according to Mansion Global (MG). “It’s loaded with industrial elements like barrel-vaulted ceilings, oversized arched windows, wide-plank white oak floors, and custom blackened steel beams and accents.”

“Without a doubt, the 12-foot brick barrel vaulted ceilings and giant arched windows steal the show,” Noble Black of the Corcoran Group, who holds the listing with his colleague Jesse Feldman, said in an email, via MG. “The layouts and finishes of the apartment are extremely well executed but the architectural details … are quintessential New York loft at its finest.”

The Loft Is a ‘Truly Exceptional Residence’

Spanning around 3,280 square feet, the loft is “[a] truly exceptional residence in one of NoHo’s most coveted prewar condominiums,” the Cocoran listing notes, while adding that “Residence 5A at The Schumacher is grand in scale and striking in design.”

“This four bedroom, four and one-half bath residence offers extraordinary proportions and refined craftsmanship throughout,” per the listing. “Dramatic 12-foot exposed brick barrel-vaulted ceilings set the tone, complemented by oversized arched wood-framed windows, 7.5-inch wide-plank fumed white oak floors, and custom cold-rolled blackened steel accents.”

The listing also tells interested buyers that the home boasts a “magnificent 22′ x 34′ great room” that “is flooded with natural light through four oversized arched windows,” and includes “custom bookshelves and storage.”

“The adjacent chef’s kitchen is both elegant and functional, featuring top-of-the-line appliances and Calacatta marble countertops, including a slab stone waterfall island breakfast bar,” the listing notes.

As for the bedrooms, the listing explains that “[t]he spacious primary features soaring vaulted ceilings and large windows overlooking a beautifully landscaped courtyard garden … as well as a large walk-in closet. The luxurious en-suite Calacatta corner primary bathroom is bathed in natural light with both western and southern exposures and includes heated floors, soaking tub, double vanity, and a glass-enclosed steam shower.”

Beyond that, “[t]hree additional king-sized bedrooms each feature en-suite baths and vaulted ceilings all overlooking the courtyard garden,” the listing continues. “The south-facing bedroom is enhanced by an oversized arched window, custom built-ins, and a windowed bath with a Toto washlet.”

Of course, the listing is also sure to points out “[a]dditional highlights,” which “include a powder room, washer/dryer, and a dedicated AV closet,” as well as a “Lutron lighting system, in-wall and invisible speakers and … automatic shades throughout.”
