Breakout country megastar Zach Bryan posted an Instagram photo holding his girlfriend shortly before midnight on December 31, 2025, in what seemed to be a wedding announcement. The photo was captioned, “Tougher than the rest” and accompanied by a video of Bryan performing Bruce Springsteen’s hit of the same name.
Bryan, 29, had earlier sparked speculation that he’d just gotten married after he and his girlfriend, Samantha Leonard, were spotted in Spain hopping into a convertible adorned with a sign reading, “Just Married.”
In the video, which was first published by celebrity news outlet Deuxmoi, the country crooner scoops up his lady and dashes towards the car before quickly shutting the door and driving away. The pair was certainly dressed for a romantic occasion, as Bryan wore a tux and Leonard wore a spectacular wedding gown and carried a bouquet. Both members of the couple also wore shades.
Actor Jojo Scarlotta commented on Bryan’s post from his verified Instagram account, “Congrats, man,” suggesting the wedding was the real deal.
Fans Debated Whether Zach Bryan’s Wedding Was Real
Prior to Bryan’s post, fans went crazy with speculation about what the video meant absent any official word.
Fans were not sure whether the “I Remember Everything” singer actually got married, or if something else was taking place. While the scene certainly looked like a wedding, one fan speculated in Deuxmoi’s Instagram comments, “That’s a music video.”
The outlet seemed to disagree though, and shot back, “There’s no lighting, no crew, one camera.” They later doubled down to add, “Oh and Shane Gillis was there,” before emphasizing the message with a shrugging emoji.
Shane Gillis is a comedian who previously opened a show for Bryan, according to Country Central. The outlet shared a clip of the funnyman discussing how he ended up opening for Bryan, explaining, “This was Zach’s idea.” He then laughingly recalled how the star asked him if he wanted to “go first, or second,” and mused on how awkward it would have been to follow up a Zach Bryan concert with one of his comedy routines.
Zach Bryan Hinted at a Wedding in a Recent Photo
The day before he and Leonard were spotted in Spain dashing to the convertible in wedding clothes, Bryan posted a shot on Instagram that was reminiscent of a traditional lineup of groomsman. He captioned the snap with lyrics from the Black Eyed Peas song “I Gotta Feeling”: “Tonight’s the night, let’s live it up. I got my money, let’s spend it up (I feel). Go out and smash it, like, ‘Oh my God!’ Jump off that sofa, let’s kick it off (I feel).”
