It’s Week 8 of “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34, and fans are excited to see what the remaining celebrity contestants bring to the ballroom for Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night. It’s going to be an exciting show with performances including Witney Carson and Robert Irwin dancing a paso doble to “Icky Thump” by The White Stripes, and Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach dancing a jive routine to “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John.
But after DWTS airs, there’s another surprise in store for fans: Derek Hough and his sister Julianne Hough’s dance special will be airing again!
Julianne & Derek Hough’s TV Dance Special
Derek and Julianne got their start on DWTS as dancers. Still, fans have loved watching their careers evolve. They are both still involved in the ABC dance competition: Julianne is the co-host alongside Alfonso Ribeiro, and Derek is one of the three main judges, alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. On Tuesday, November 4, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Flavor Flav will join the judges as a special guest.
To add to the anticipation ahead of Show Night, the official “Dancing with the Stars” Instagram account shared a video of Julianne and Derek dressed up and dancing. Julianne wears a blue dress and Derek wears gray trousers, a white button-down shirt, and a gray vest. They look incredible as they show off their dance moves.
In the clip, the pair also addresses the camera. “Join us for a night of lights, camera …” Derek says, before Julianne finishes his sentence with “… and dance! As we step into the movies.” The caption teases the performance. “Step Into The Movies with @derekhough and @juleshough is back on your screen TONIGHT at 10/9c on ABC after #DWTS!” it reads.
Does the clip look familiar? The TV special first aired in 2022. However, the comments reflect that fans are still excited to watch it again.
Fans React to Julianne & Derek Hough’s New Video
Fans have taken to the video’s comments to share messages of support for Julianne and Derek and to express excitement about watching their performance. “BEST SIBLING PAIR EVER,” a fan wrote.
Other reactions include, “Derek gets a 20!,” “I love when you dance together!!” and “The best brother and sister duo ever to exist in dance!”
Julianne also reacted. “DANCE is the ultimate celebration,” she wrote. Derek commented on the post with, “LET’S CELEBRATE DANCE TOGETHER!!!”
