Former Beloved DWTS Contestant Joins New Netflix Reality Show

Former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Dwight Howard is poised to try his luck in another reality series, following his 2024 stint on the popular dance competition. Paired with professional dancer Daniella Karagach, Howard finished sixth on the show, with “The Bachelor” star Joey Graziadei and his partner Jenna Johnson the eventual winners.

Howard will now be hoping to perform better as he steps into “Inside: USA” — the American adaptation of the popular British series “Inside,” which will be hosted by popular internet personalities Valkyrae and Fanum.

Created by a group of seven British content creators known as the Sidemen (KSI, Behzinga, W2S, Zerkaa, Miniminter, TBJZL, and Vikkstar123), “Inside” first aired on YouTube in 2024, before returning for a second series on Netflix in 2025.

As per Netflix’s official website, former NBA star Howard, who played for the likes of the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers during a glittering near-20-year career, will be one of 12 contestants taking part in the upcoming series.

Howard, 39, will be competing against an intriguing lineup of big names comprised of real estate agent and model Breana “Bre” Tiesi, streamer and YouTuber Sketch, social media star Jay Cinco, content creator and model Sydney Thomas, social media star Mark Estes, social media star Fannita Leggett, influencer Aisha Mian, actor and podcaster Zach Justice, YouTuber Max Fosh, reality television star Ekin-Su, and actress Alissa Violet.

“Inside: USA” will have the same diabolical format as the British version of the show, meaning the 12 contestants will be living together for a week, battling it out for a prize fund of $1 million. The catch? They enter the accommodation with nothing but the clothes they’re wearing at the time, and everything they do from thereon — whether it be eating, drinking, taking a shower, or otherwise — costs money that will be taken out of that prize money.

It’s a recipe for conflict and one that will test the patience of even the most mellow and kindhearted of contestant — and it’ll be interesting to see how a beloved figure like Howard copes in there. It is sure to intrigue its new American audience.

According to Netflix, the first four episodes of “Inside: USA” will hit the platform on Sunday, September 21, with the next three episodes arriving three days later on September 24, followed by the final two episodes four days after that on September 28.

In the meantime, if you’re interested in watching the British version of the show to see what it’s all about, seasons 1 and 2 are available to watch in their entirety on Netflix.
