Lauren Jauregui isn’t holding back after her shocking “Dancing With the Stars” exit. The Fifth Harmony singer, 29, tearfully shared she was “really disappointed” while recalling the emotional moment. US Weekly reported Jauregui saying, “Well, I’m feeling really disappointed,”. She said this tearfully during the show’s official podcast on Thursday, October 2.

“I’m a crybaby, I’m sorry! I’m feeling a little sad [and] upset. Just feeling a little overwhelmed to do this right after getting eliminated.”
The singer and pro partner, Brandon Armstrong, recorded their podcast appearance with Joey Graziadei just moments after the live show on Tuesday, September 30.
A Tough Night on the Dance Floor

The duo had started strong, finishing near the top of the leaderboard in the first two weeks. For Tuesday’s TikTok-inspired theme night, Jauregui and Armstrong danced a cha cha to Fifth Harmony’s “Work From Home,” receiving an 18 out of 30.
“This was the first time we were doing Latin style,” Jauregui said. “Ballroom was a lot easier for me to learn. The cha cha was a little challenging, but Brandon is an amazing teacher and I felt like I was in good hands.”

She admitted the loss was more painful because she didn’t feel she delivered her best.
“I will say I didn’t do my absolute best tonight, and so I think that elimination makes it feel that much more impactful ‘cause I would have at least liked to go off on my best.”
Why Lauren Thinks She Went Home Early

Jauregui speculated that her exit was less about performance and more about the fan vote.
“I guess so. I mean, I’m not sure what people were thinking,” she said. “I gave my best, the judges scored me the way that they did, and then the voting was the next part. And my phone broke today, so I couldn’t even tell you to vote. Sorry.”
Armstrong added, “Fan votes are 50 percent of the deal when pairs join the show.”
Brandon Shares His Heartbreak Over the Exit
Armstrong said Jauregui’s elimination hit harder than most. “I will say, by far, [this was] the most painful elimination for me on the show,” he shared. “It’s brutal — for a million reasons. I think the landscape of the show has undergone significant changes. I really look up to pros and celebrities who do it the right way. Lauren is one of those people to a T.”
The pro praised her work ethic and said he felt he had “the perfect partner.” Still, he reminded fans that every contestant is giving their all. “If you guys went into the rehearsal studio and saw how hard every single celebrity is working, nobody deserves it more than the other.”
“Dancing With the Stars” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+.
