Whitney Leavitt just made a huge announcement to her fans.
In a shocking yet long-coming move, Leavitt confirmed that she is indeed stepping away from “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” bringing a meaningful chapter in her life to a close as she looks ahead with gratitude.
She shared the update in a heartfelt video, explaining that while she will return for the upcoming season, it will mark her final appearance on the series.

In a video shared on Instagram on May 5, Leavitt says, “You’re gonna want to sit down for this video. I am leaving the secret lives of Mormon wives. Take a minute, take it in.”
Leavitt added, “Just to be very clear, I am finishing season five, so yes, I will be in that season, but also yes, it will be my last.”
Looking back, Leavitt said the show entered her life at a time when she was pursuing other creative goals.

The reality show just, it fell into my life organically, and I said yes to it. It’s definitely not the path that I had envisioned in my mind to get to where I am today, but I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Since the series premiered in September 2024, she has become one of its most recognizable faces, building a strong connection with viewers.

“I have experienced so much with this group of women, and in that process, I’ve also learned so much about myself. We have been through so much together, even more than what you’ve seen. We’ve had really big highs, really big lows, and no matter what happens with our relationships, that is something that will always be a part of our life, will always be a part of my life, and I wouldn’t change a thing.”
She also explained how her decision to leave feels different this time.
“The times I’ve walked away from quote-unquote mom talk, it came from a place of anger and frustration, but this time is significantly different because I’m leaving with gratitude.”

The Hollywood Reporter also reported on May 3 that she will no longer be part of the Hulu series, while footage obtained by TMZ showed her sharing the news during her final performance in “Chicago” on Broadway.
