We watched the Top 5 on “American Idol” season 24 perform two times last night on ABC. To kick things off, “American Idol” joined forces with “Dancing With the Stars” to bring the ballroom to the studio. Some of your favorite pro dancers from the show took the stage and sang with the Top 5 on “American Idol” 2026. Then, we had some familiar faces take the stage during the Class of 2006 Reunion. It was duet time, as they definitely seemed to bring out the best side of these singers. When all was said and done, Ryan Seacrest revealed the results, and another two contestants were sent home. Now we are left with the Top 3 on “American Idol” season 24. We are taking a look at these hopefuls and doing some power rankings for the Top 3 singers on “American Idol” season 24.
1. Jordan McCullough on ‘American Idol’
Jordan McCullough came into last night’s performances with something to prove, and he did just that. This was his best night of performances. His voice and performances seem so effortless. He has an amazing range, but nothing about his performances seems forced. He is just up there singing, hitting some huge notes along the way, and not phased at all. When you can sing, you can sing, and that’s the case for Jordan.
As Lionel Richie said after his duet with Elliott Yamin, they complement each other so well that they turned “American Idol” into the Church of American Idol. Jordan feels every lyric he performs, but then he makes the audience feel it right along with him.
2. Hannah Harper
This season, Hannah has been one of the early favorites to win it all. She had that original song she sang during her audition, which resonated with so many mothers out there. She has been a standout the rest of the season, but I didn’t quite get it. Yes, she has a great country voice, but she was lacking something for me. However, she seemed to find it in last night’s performances.
She showed a different side with her “DWTS” crossover performance, and then Kellie Pickler seemed to bring something new out of her. She had a lot more confidence, but seemed to be having fun, and that is key.
3. Keyla Richardson
With the right song choices, Keyla shines. She also seems to take us to the Church of American Idol often. However, her first performance didn’t do it for me. Maybe it was good, but then it was overshadowed by what the other singers did.
I’m not sure, but then her performance with Taylor Hicks was fun and energetic. She caught those positive vibes that Taylor always seems to be giving out. The song was great, and overall, a great season for Keyla to get her to this point. However, I think she falls short compared to the other two singers.
Who do you think are the best singers for the Top 3 on “American Idol” season 24?
