In her statement on Instagram, she shared: “💛 hi loves 💛 I’ll be out of Chicago tonight. Still recovering from a viral infection. Hope to be fully recovered by Thursday. Love you guys!”

Leavitt’s absence comes during a major moment in her career, as she continues to lead the long-running musical “Chicago” at New York City’s Ambassador Theatre.
The performer, who first gained attention on “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” has quickly made her mark on Broadway, taking on the iconic role of Roxie Hart and drawing strong audience response.
Leavitt’s journey to the stage has been rapid and unexpected. After appearing on “Dancing with the Stars,” she reunited with pro dancer Mark Ballas, who now stars alongside her in “Chicago” as Billy Flynn.

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, “Chicago” saw a major surge at the box office last week, bringing in close to $1.5 million, its highest recorded total to date. The boost came as Ballas joined the production opposite Leavitt.
ABCLeavitt, who previously partnered with Ballas on “Dancing With the Stars” and appeared on “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” had already been drawing strong audiences.
With Ballas stepping into the role, the show saw ticket demand climb further, with average prices reaching $171 and the Ambassador Theatre hitting full capacity
In “Chicago,” Leavitt brings her own energy to Roxie Hart, a character she described as “sassy, impulsive, and always just, like, learning.”
As her Broadway run continues, she has also been weighing her future beyond reality television.
“We’re figuring it out in real-time. I don’t really know,” she told GMA. “I feel sometimes that it’s like time to venture out. Like, this is what I’m passionate about.”
For now, Leavitt is focusing on her health, with plans to return to the stage once she has fully recovered, as fans continue to support her during the brief pause.
