WATCH: Whitney Leavitt’s First Performance in ‘Chicago’

Former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant Whitney Leavitt has made her Broadway debut after appearing in the hit musical “Chicago” for the first time. The reality star, who rose to fame on Hulu’s “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” is portraying Roxie Hart as part of a six-week role at the Ambassador Theatre.

Whitney Leavitt Shows Off Her Dancing and Singing Skills on Broadway

Leavitt appeared in season 34 of “Dancing With the Stars” and while she was eliminated before the finale, her stage presence led to her being tapped up for a six-week engagement of “Chicago” on Broadway — leading to an outpouring of support from her fellow “DWTS” contestants and professional dancers.

Last night marked her debut performance in the role and the production’s official social media account shared a number of videos on Instagram showing Leavitt singing and dancing to various songs in the show.

In one of the videos, you can hear the 32-year-old sing “Roxie,” which acts as the lead song for her character. The clips suggest that Leavitt is totally at home in her new musical theatre career.

Other members of the cast include Sophie Carmen-Jones as Velma Kelly, Tam Mutu as Billy Flynn, Jacqueline B. Arnold as Matron “Mama” Morton, and M. Kilgore as Mary Sunshine. Last night’s performance also marked the debut of M. Kilgore as Mary Sunshine and Hildreth’s return to the role of Amos Hart.
