Witney Carson is asking her fans for help after he family suffered a heartbreaking loss.
On Wednesday, Sept. 10, Carson posted a note on her Instagram story, sharing the news.
“My relatives just lost their sweet baby boy full term. My heart is shattered for them ๐ They’re now facing unexpected cost of the funeral and hospital bills. If you could pray for them and donate to ease this financial burden as they experience an unbearable loss,” Carson wrote.
She also included a link to the GoFundMe.
Witney Carson Reposted An Instagram Post With the Sad News
Along with the message on her Instagram story, Carson also reposted a photo that revealed the sad news.
“Broken. Shattered. Forever changed,” Taylor Southard wrote on Instagram. “Our boy, Westley Brent Southard. Pure perfection. Everything was perfect, you were just rolling in my tummy that morning, To find out your heart wasnโt beating that night. And for no reason that could be told to us. All was healthy , you were healthy. We were so close.”

Witney Carson began on “So You Think You Can Dance,” before going to “Dancing with the Stars” where she won one Mirrorball Trophy in Season 19 with her partner Alfonso Ribeiro in 2014.
But along with her impressive dancing career, she also has an incredible family cheering her along.
Carson is married to Carson McAllister, with the two having begun dating while they were in high school, and got married in 2016 when they were both 22 years old.
โShe was my dream girl since 7th grade.ย But she didnโt know I existed until senior year,โ McAllister told PEOPLE in 2016 After they got married. โWe became really close friends and kinda started dating. From the second I got to know her, I could tell she was the most loving and understanding girl Iโd ever met.โ
In Jan. 3 2021, the couple welcomed their first child, naming him Kevin Leo McAllister.
“Kevin Leo McAllister ๐ค Named after his grandpa who sent him down to us. Born on Jan. 3rd 2021 โจ 7lbs. 2oz. 21โ long! My little Leo, I love you more than words can express. You are the most precious gift. My life will forever be changed by your sweet spirit. Welcome to the world Leo ๐ฆ,” Carson wrote on Instagram three days after her son was born.
The two welcomed their second son, Jet Carson McAllister, on May 13, 2023.
“Jet Carson McAllister ๐ค Decided to join us two weeks early on May 13th at 9:21pm, just in time for Mothers Day ๐ค๐ฅน Our hearts have doubled in size for our Jetty boy. Heโs the most perfect addition to our family and has already given us so much joy! We love you baby boy,” Carson wrote two days after her second son was born.
