Gisele Bündchen Flashes Back to 2016 With Intimate & Adorable Family Photos

Gisele Bündchen is the latest celebrity to jump in on the 2016 throwback trend, where people share moments from what their life was like a decade ago.

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel who ruled the runway in the $15 million “Red Hot Fantasy Bra” in 2000 shared a set of beautiful photos featuring several sweet family moments as she reflected on what her 2016 was like.

The 45-year-old captioned her post, “Sometimes it’s good to slow down, look back, and notice how far we’ve come. 2016 shaped me in ways I didn’t fully understand at the time. There were highs and lows. I prayed with my whole heart, learned as I went, and loved deeply.

I had the honor of representing Brazil at the Olympic Opening Ceremony, a moment I’ll carry with me forever and watching Vivi do her own little runway walk the next day was pure magic.

That year, I planted my first tree with the kids, shared endless cuddles, became a minister to marry dear friends, traveled to the Amazon and the pyramids of Teotihuacan, launched my photography book in New York, took part in The Beginning of Life, and spent meaningful time with Jane Goodall.

In between it all, I sang, threw a few punches, played princess, Matrix, and astronaut, was Mario Bros with Benny, and ended the year surrounded by my whole family with my heart full of gratitude and a deep knowing of what life is really about.”

2016 Was Gisele’s First Year of Runway Retirement

The Brazilian beauty walked her first VS Fashion Show in 1999, and spent the next year dominating Vogue covers, with three American issues and a total of 37 worldwide. She ended her contract with the brand in 2007, but later returned for the brand’s “Icons” campaign in 2023. In April 2015, she walked her final runway show for a fashion house, taking part in a show for the Colcci Summer collection during São Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil.

Gisele’s Ex-Husband Tom Brady Just Made Another Interesting Song Choice on Instagram

The day Page Six broke the news on December 19, 2025 that Bündchen had quietly married her baby son’s father, Joaquim Valente, Tom Brady updated his Instagram Stories and interestingly chose the song “1-800-273-8255” by rapper Logic as background music.

Headlines circulated that day pointing out the song’s telling lyrics, which include lines such as “I feel like my life ain’t mine” and “I don’t wanna be alive.”

At the start of February, shortly before his supermodel ex shared her 2016 throwback post, Brady shared updates on his Instagram Stories of himself having a slow Sunday. He posted a selfie from his couch, and another shot showed he was reading the book “Trillion Dollar Coach” by Bill Campbell.

For his couch selfie, Brady selected the famous heartbreak song “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers as background music. The song contains lyrics such as, “Now they’re going to bed, and my stomach is sick. And it’s all in my head, but she’s touching his chest now. He takes off her dress now. I just can’t look, it’s killing me.”
