We are going to see some familiar faces on “Project Runway” Season 22 tonight. For this next challenge on “Project Runway” 2026, the remaining designers will be teaming up to battle returning designers from Season 21 in an unconventional materials challenge. The “Project Runway” judges — Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, Law Roach, and Tyra Banks — will then decide who stays and who goes. The show has had many homes, from Bravo to Lifetime, but now it airs and streams on a few other networks. Who gets eliminated on “Project Runway” tonight? Battle of the Seasons on ‘Project Runway’
Last week on “Project Runway” Season 22, we wrapped up the previous week’s results, with Elizabeth sent home. Then, we shifted into the new challenge of creating a red carpet look for Heidi Klum. The pressure was on, but in the end she chose Bryan’s look, and Bobby was sent home.
For the first time this season, we didn’t end the episode with a “To Be Continued.” Tonight, we will move right into the new challenge: the designers teaming up to take on returning designers from Season 21 in an unconventional materials challenge. August 20 Live Recap – Week 7

Week 7 Begins
The seven designers are on the runway. Heidi Klum and Christian Siriano join them. The designers will be competing together as a house. They will compete against a group of Season 21 designers (Antonio Estrada, Jesus Estrada, Joan Madison, Belania Daley, Ethan Mundt, and Yuchen Han) who have returned. The designer with the winning look from the winning house will get $20,000. If the Season 22 house wins this challenge, no one will go home! If they lose to Season 21, then one designer will be heading home. This will be an unconventional materials challenge also!
The designers head to a recycling warehouse. They will use materials from this warehouse and have 10 minutes to grab whatever they want. The designers will be working as a house, but their looks don’t have to be cohesive.
Workroom Time
The designers are back in the workroom. Joseph doesn’t want to work with these designers after they voted him the weakest designer.
Christian comes in to check out what the designers are up to. He tells Bi to get to work since he has so much to do. He tells Bryan to take a chance since he has immunity. Joseph is very bitter, but I love it! Christian thinks Jeffrey’s look is more of a drag dress. He then wants Jeffrey to kick his team into gear and help since no one seems to be.
Christian then looks over the Season 21 designers. He seems to be impressed with what they are doing. We then have a special guest, as influencer Nara Smith comes in and sits down and eats with them.
The Season 22 designers are working together. Bryan has a look that the other designers want him to change up. He agrees. They try to work with Joseph, but he has no desire to work with them.
Day 2 of Challenge
The designers are back in the workroom for Day 2 of the challenge. The Season 21 designers are shocked that the Season 22 designers have nothing done. Bryan pivoted, but now he’s braiding, which is what Jesus did. Then Jeffrey has a similar look to what Antonio is doing. Yes, the drama is starting, as the twins are back!
The designers get another special guest, as influencer Nicky Campbell comes in to chat with them. He’s interviewing them on their looks.
For House of Season 22, Jeffrey is going around and helping his fellow designers. He wants to make sure they win.
Runway Day on ‘Project Runway’
The models come in, and the designers are finishing their looks. For Bryan, his look doesn’t have a dress underneath, and he can’t send his model down the runway naked. He ends up taping her underneath, which they all call him out on. The time runs out, and the designers and models head to the runway.
Show Time
The designers are on the runway. The judges for tonight are Law Roach, Nina Garcia, Heidi Klum, and Iman. The judges have seen all the looks and have mixed reviews, as the critiques will be coming soon!
Results on ‘Project Runway’ Season 22
The designers are back on the runway. From House of Season 21, Belania and Antonio are safe tonight. From House of Season 22, we have Naheim, Jude, and Anna safe tonight. The remaining designers (Yuchen, Ethan, Joan, and Jesus from Season 21 and Joseph, Bryan, Bi, and Jeffrey from Season 22) have the top and bottom looks for the night.
The judges loved Bi’s look. They said he is the one to beat. Law said Jeffrey’s look was trash. Law then said he loved Joseph’s look and it was redemption for him. They said Brian is lucky he had immunity, and the model hated being in it.
The designers head back to the lounge, and we have a big blowup between Jeffrey and Bryan. Then Joseph gets involved, and it just gets ugly.
Back on the runway, the designers are back, but we will find out next week which House won this challenge. Who do you think won?
