Guy Fieri Celebrates His Birthday by Ditching Signature Blond Hair: ‘New Look’

Guy Fieri is known for his love of food and his bleached-blond hair. But to celebrate his birthday this year, the “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” star ditched his signature look.

Guy Fieri’s Bold New Look

Fieri rang in his 58th birthday with a video of “himself” shared via Instagram on Thursday, January 22.

“After so many years of celebrating my birthday as Guy, I figured this year I’d celebrate it as ‘just a guy,'” “Fieri” said in the AI-generated birthday video. “Happy birthday to me,” he said before blowing out his candles.

“New Year. New Guy. New Look,” Fieri captioned the video.

The Food Network star was flooded with well-wishes and celebratory comments, mixed in with a few comedic remarks.

“Dad… when did you start selling insurance? 😂,” Fieri’s son, Hunter Fieri, commented.

“Happy birthday but why do you look like Fred Flintstone!!!” one fan joked.

“This makes me uncomfortable and I dunno why 😂 happy birthday!!” another laughed.

“🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s your b’day and you give us the gift of laughter! This is amazing Happy Happy Happy B’day,” a third fan added.

“What are you wearing? Khakis. Happy Birthday Guid! 🙌🙌🙌” another follower joked, referring to the iconic State Farm commercial.

Guy Fieri Spends Birthday in Recovery

While he celebrates his big birthday, Fieri is also recovering from a traumatic on-set accident.

“I’m doing better. It was definitely a trying holiday, but you know what, you get some real appreciation for having the ability to just get up and walk around and do everything you used to,” Fieri told People on January 14. “I’m a big CrossFit and hiking guy, so eight weeks of no hiking has driven me kind of crazy. But I’m looking forward to it, trying to take it easy.”

The celebrity chef fell down a flight of stairs while filming his new show, “Flavor Town Food Fight.”

He underwent surgery in November 2025 for a devastating tear in his quad muscle, which left his wheelchair-bound for more than two months.

“My doctors are all like, ‘We know you want to get after it, but let’s not go back to where we were.’ And I’m like, ‘We are never going back to that!’ That was the worst thing I’ve been through in the last 20 years,” Fieri told People. “But now I’ll be up and ready and healthy and rolling by the time we hit the Super Bowl for sure.”
