One of the biggest names in food television has something special to celebrate this week. “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” star Guy Fieri’s oldest son, Hunter, just turned 30.

Guy Fieri’s Oldest Son Hits a Major Milestone Birthday
Guy Fieri’s oldest son just hit a major milestone. Hunter Fieri turned 30 on August 13, 1996. While Hunter is an adult with a life of his own, he’s still very close with his parents. The Fieri family was happy to shower him with love and affection on his special day.
“Happy 30th birthday to my best friend/son HUNTER,” the celebrity chef captioned an Instagram post yesterday. “WTH!! Where did 30 years go?! It’s been an amazing adventure with you Hunter. From your long delivery, to the first year of not sleeping well, to all of a sudden you turned into this amazing little kid that always sought adventure.”
In the first photo, the father-son duo pose side-by-side, both donning Fieri’s signature sunglasses look. Guy also attached a photo of both his sons working in a kitchen, wearing chef attire.
Of course, the “Guy’s Grocery Games” star also included several photos from Hunter’s childhood. Even back then, Hunter and his younger brother, Ryder, were incredibly close.
“You gave your mom and I the greatest life lessons and experiences. You are such a kind, respectful and genuine person… We couldn’t be more proud of you. You’ve done an amazing job getting to 30 and we look forward to what comes next,” Fieri signed the post with “Love, Dad.”
“Love you so much father!!! Thank you everyone❤️” Hunter replied in the comments, kindly thanking fans for their well-wishes too.
The Celebrity Chef Wants His Sons to Find Their Own Identities
While having Guy Fieri as a father comes with a lot of bragging rights, the Food Network star also wanted his boys to find their own paths. While speaking to PEOPLE in 2022, Hunter shared the best advice his father ever told him.
“Always listen, be smart, and apply what you’ve learned. And he always told me, ‘You can’t be just Guy Fieri’s son. If you really want to take over this world, you got to be Hunter Fieri,’ and that’s just what I think about,” Hunter told the outlet at the time.
Even so, he acknowledged that having the Fieri name has opened many doors. Hunter also enjoys the family business and cooking up an excellent meal.
“I get so many opportunities to learn from other people and I get to experience some amazing places and experiences. I can’t complain at all. It is amazing,” he added.
While Guy Fieri is world-renowned as a top-tier celebrity chef, he always makes time for his family.
“He’s a great father,” Hunter told PEOPLE in 2022, noting that Guy Fieri is truly a family man at heart. “He’s taught me so much and he continues to teach me every day. He doesn’t act like a celebrity. He’s just a family man.”
At the end of the day, Hunter Fieri hopes to follow his father’s advice and carve his own career in the television industry.
“I really want to start doing my own TV. I want to get into that realm of walking outside of my dad’s shadow. We’re working our way towards that. I’m excited that the ball is rolling and it’s getting bigger,” Hunter excitedly added.
