‘Next Gen: NYC’ Star Gia Giudice Gives Honest Answer on Dad Joe Giudice’s Deportation Battle

Seven years after former RHONJ star Joe Giudice was deported, his daughter, “Next Gen: NYC” star Gia Giudice, is opening up about whether he will ever be able to return to the United States.

Speaking about the situation, Gia made it clear that while her family hasn’t completely given up, getting her dad back into the country isn’t as simple as filing a quick appeal. Their legal team is still looking into every possible option. But the reality is that the immigration process is slow, complicated, and offers no promises.

Gia Guidice Opens Up About Dad’s Deportation

In an interview with “Good Day New York,” Gia Giudice revealed the steps the Giudice family is taking so Joe Giudice can someday return to the United States.

She explained, “He’s doing great. He’s in the Bahamas.”

“We just filed a humanitarian packet for him. Just kind of trying to do everything we can to get him pardoned and hopefully come back, even just on visitation. We’re still actively working through that,” the reality star added.

She continued, “Trying to do that and trying to do everything we can. I mean, I think any family would want their dad home. Any daughter, child, would want their father home.”

Joe Giudice Discussed Being Separated From His Family on Wife Teresa’s Podcast in 2025

In January 2025, Joe Guidice discussed his decision to move to the Bahamas during an appearance on his ex-wife Teresa Giudice’s podcast “Turning the Tables.”

“You grow up someplace, you get used to everything. I mean, that’s why I adapt[ed] here in the Bahamas. Because it’s kind of like Americanized, and I always see American people here,” he explained.

Giudice continued, “So, I kind of feel like I’m close to home. When I was in Italy, it wasn’t really the same. It was nice, but it just felt far.”

“Like, here, it’s close. It’s only two-and-a-half hours away, and I guess because everybody comes and visits me, I don’t feel like I’m too far,” he concluded.

Gia Gave a Special Shout-Out to Her Mom After New Series Debut

On August 10, Gia Giudice gave her mom Teresa a special shout-out after the debut of her new Bravo series, “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Roaring 20th Anniversary.” She took to Instagram to share her excitement.

Giudice wrote, “Cheers to 20 years of the most iconic women who have made us laugh, cry, relate, and of course, keep talking. So proud of every single one of you!”

She concluded, “And a special cheer to my beautiful mom. You’ve always stayed true to yourself, and that’s exactly why people love you. Thank you for blessing our screens with 20 years of ‘Housewives.'”

While fans holding out hope for a big U.S. reunion might be disappointed, Gia’s update shows a family that has simply learned how to adapt. The family’s legal fight may still be quietly going on in the background, but for now, making regular trips to the Bahamas keeps the family connected on their own terms.
